Gear isn't always 100% everything, but once you know what you're doing, it IS everything.

You could be the best player on the servers, and if you're wearing t5 treasured gear and using t5 apprentice Is, you wont be killing anything. Being good at your class does not mean you will automatically kill anything your guild wants dead.

I agree that AA specs make a difference too. Our raid force is about 50-50 PvP vs PvE spec. We'll down the mobs, it's just a matter of getting the gear. once again, it's all about the gear.

Is that b/c the good raid guilds are all in exile? If Freeport had any clue how to play or even better, could fill a raid of 24 with talented players these zones would be clear, especially MMIS. If you're talking to Dankshasta, maybe. If you're talking to me, hell no! The good gear SHOULD drop from the tougher mobs.

My only points in this are:

1. PvE raiders are not ubah because they are more skilled than others, anyone can pick this game up and see how things work. They are ubah because they have better gear.
2. PvE players should refrain from commenting on PvP issues because they simply don't know what they're talking about. It IS a totally different game when you're talking about PvP combat.
3. A raid which CAN use all 24 different classes will, all else being equal, be better than one which is restricted based on alignment.
4. Gear makes a huge difference, so do AA points.

That's it.

If you want the best gear, you have to kill the hard mobs. That is how it works, and that is how it should work. Anyone who disputes this is an idiot.

I'd take any member of Second Dawn or Dissolution and match them up with a clone of the same class on pvp. Same spells gear, everything possible.

Give the SD/Disso member rez effects and they would still flat out own any PVP player.

Now tell me its the gear. Cuz it ain't.

I don't know; I asked a question about why a Freeport raid couldn't do MMIS or EH and a PVP player couldn't explain why an encounter would be an issue specifically. Pinski went ahead and gave you what you need for a Freeport guild to easily defeat the instances and all that was brought back was try it in xegonite...like any of your raiding guilds are using that. If at first your point is stupid, try again? The arguement was brought forward that one sided city faction can't do the instances by someone and it developed in to PVEers could never survive contesteds and that their gear is all that matters. So which is it, because having one templar replaced with an Inquisitor is no reason to fail those instances.

Heh, the Freeport/Qeynos guilds on Nagafen are decked out in full PvP gear which is not EoF Fabled, but pretty damn close... Hardly Xegonite - whoever said that shit to you is a fucking retard. Dankshasta is also a fucking retard and should quit like he said he would.

If it was possible to do this, I'd challenge your troubador and then procede to kick the living shit out of his little bluebie backside. Then when you tried to do it WITHOUT rez sickness, I'd do the same thing again. This isn't PvE, ALL your spells work different in PvP. You need to set yourself up different for PvP. STOP TALKING ABOUT SHIT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT. I know for a fact that if you had your PvE gear, that I wouldn't stand a chance, I fought a dirge on PvP test and he kicked the snot out of me, killed me with 2-3 bow auto-attacks. Why? Thats right, his gear was better than mine. I'm sure you guys could compete, and I'm sure you could pick things up pretty quickly, but as you are, if in the same gear as a PvPer, we'd kick your arse.

/DUEL is NOT the same as a PvP fight.

Ah I'm lazy and didn't read much. I thought someone on a PvP server was complaining about being decked out in Xegonite.
