My guild has killed Avatars with no defiler in raid. They beat Contested Mayong once with only one healer in MT group after I LD'd at the pull and couldn't get back in.

Not trying to boast, just saying, at this point in the expansion, none of this should still be difficult for any moderately equipped raid with level 70s and full achievement points.

Reason #1 why PvE raid guild would not be able to take down ANYTHING that isn't in an instance on PvP: As soon as you are attacked by ANYONE in PvP, your toons go into PvP combat mode. All your heals are cut, all your damage is cut, all your cures are now on a 10 second timer.

Good luck killing things while you're in PvP combat.

PvP gear is just plain BETTER than the EoF raid set gear. It is not the best gear around, infact it is FAR from the best gear around, but it is nice. The problem you PvE-ers don't seem to understand is that you can't simply walk outside, kill a few people and then go buy your PvP gear. Tokens don't drop from every person you kill, if you're on Venekor, you can go out PvPing for an hour and kill 3 people, you'll probably get 1-2 tokens from that. If you're an Nagafen, you will almost need a group to kill anything, in which case you then have to win the random roll on those tokens. Good luck! Unless you devote your entire group to gearing one person at a time, no one is going to have a full set for months.

To all of you saying you could clear MMiS in Xegonite with only one alignment's toons, I say bullshit. Hell, I doubt you could do it with one alignment wearing the EoF legendary sets and collection-reward jewelery. You people forget what it's like wearing Xegonite, it is GARBAGE. I only just recently exiled to raid, I went from almost a full suit of PvP gear (just missing the chest) back to my EoF legendary set... the drop in stats, resists, hitpoints, damage etc was HUGE. Now imagine you're going back 2 more steps to Xegonite. Yeah, right. If you can even kill Enyiti in Xegonite I'd be shocked. Oh, and while you're doing your supposed 'PvP testing' (/laff) you also have to change your AAs to be PvP based. See your class forums for PvP spec AAs. Your bards don't have bladedance anymore. Not a problem you say? Our bards don't use it anyways? Well once you lose all that nice gear you'll be SCREAMING for it. Your raid's DPS will drop down to 10-15k, your resists will be shit, your health will take a HUGE drop (I had about 7.6k as a Troubador in PvP gear. I'm now sitting at between 6k and 6.5k depending on gear)

You people have been sitting in raid gear for so long, you've forgotten just how big a pile of shit the Xegonite gear is. You want to 'play' at raiding on a PvP server, go ahead. Make sure you fraps it so we can laugh at you when you wipe to trash. Just knowing the zone isnt enough, you need the gear as well.

P.S Grey Wolves and Storm (both Q guilds) had killed everything except Mayong in MMiS. I believe Voices Within (Freep guild) has done the same. Shadows of Storm has only had (to the best of my knowledge) one or two tries at Mayong so far.

Hell, we got Mayong to about 50% two or three times when we were in Qeynos. Any mob you can get to 50% you can kill given time. The big difference was that the fights were like 12 minutes long

And if 2.0's MT damage output is anything like 1.0's, 1 healer seems surprising reasonable considering that our last kill had the mt getting hit 3 times by his autoattack for about 2k.

all of the guilds on nagafen worth a shit can get to mayong ...vigilante, radiant legion, i like pie, insurrection( onyx and Kraken kill it ). Just a matter of these mobs take a entire raid to WANT to raid. Its 20 timers harder on a pvp server to find 24-35 people that want to kill shit, that spend time gearing up to kill that shit, people that will take the time to learn encounters, and people who want to excel at there characters on the raiding scene. I dont really care though because my primary reason of playing a pvp server is to PVP.

first off everything outside of instances has shit to do with this topic.

second, all the comparisions between pvp and pve guilds that say wehee omg you suck so bad but we're uber are a bad joke, if you really think it needs extraordinary skill to play then please think again.

third, your pvp aa specs have shit to do with this, both exiled and city guilds have this exact same problem when they want to spec for it, nothing stops you from a raid spec.
on these 9 pages not one pvp raider has told us what class they need so bad from either qeynos or freeport to be able to raid successfully. instead of doing so everyone is trash talking because they have no rational arguments for it.

Firstly, contested have EVERYTHING to do with this subject (thread is stupidly derailed) because they have the best gear. The PvE raiders are able to kill avatars, therefore they have MUCH better gear than the PvP raiders (city-aligned) so the encounters that the city-aligned PvPers are having trouble with, the PvE raiders are walking all over and then laughing "LOL you n00bs, L2P". Go ahead and TRY to kill any EoF raid mobs with PvP spec AAs and only Xegonite. Anyone? Make sure you fraps it so we can laugh at your pathetic arse.

There is no one class from either alignment which will make or break a raid. The thing is though, that they all add little things, and those little things add up.

A brigand will increase raid DPS significantly.
A pally will let your warlock do more DPS without getting smushed.
Rangers have the best raid-DPS right now.
Templars are just plain BETTER than an inquisitor for the MT group.
Defilers, again, just plain BETTER than mystics for the MT group.
Coercers, hate transfers/buffs/debuffs. Conjurors do slightly more DPS than necros and have other buffs which will stack.

No one thing is going to make or break a raid, but those small things add up.

You may think you're all hot-shit clearing MMiS with only 3-groups. Try doing it in EoF legendary (that's what I have).

It is ALL about the gear. Your skill or lack-there-of has absolutely dick all to do with it.

if you're wearing legendary still you need to raid KoS. Get your relic, get your fabled, and then try EoF.
The little things add up to nothing when you have other classes filling those holes. A warlock does fine with just a troub. A raid can still dps without a ranger. Templars and defilers are better for the mt huh? great, you will always have either one or the other in the group.

The gear is there, and if you can clear up to mayong, you shouldnt be in legendary gear. Also with pvp set gear, you are a step ahead of pve servers cuz thats some nice shit.

For the bow, which i think is what started this thread, you can always buy a scale and have someone with the recipe craft you one if you can't kill wuoshi for yourself, but don't blame your inadequacy on factional restrictions.
