That is the closest hint of any sort of advertising that came up in 20 minutes of searching every reference to magazine, equinox, and advertising on the eq2 forums, and past news on eq2players, as well as the knowledge base. If the option to advertise was there, it was definitely kept to a private audience.

maybe you dont want to advertise there after all....

Thanks - this is the same that I've found.

For those who have said they believe they saw a public offer for fan sites to advertise, I'd love to see it, but until I do, I don't believe one was made.

I've received a very nice response back from the publisher of EQuinox in response to my request to advertise:

Happy to oblige! I’ve attached our submissions guidelines to this email which should have all the information you need. Basically though, there’s no charge and we go on a quality-first basis rather than first-come first-served. As we only have a limited number of pages we can’t guarantee a place, but we’ll let you know either way and any that don’t make it in this time can still be added to the reserve pile for the next issue.

I therefore humbly apologize and hereby eat crow for any mistaken assumption I may have had about not qualifying to submit an ad based on political reasons related to the nature of this site. I hope to be able to submit the nicest ad they've ever received for inclusion in a future issue.
