And I have nothing against making it harder, but this doesn't accomplish that goal, as I've show time and time again in that thread. The status from those items is an insignificant amount of status to a lvl 60 raiding guild and will put them back at most 3 weeks in their leveling to 80.

3 weeks is still a longer period of time. I also don't see how this is punishing anyone. There are still writs avail from level 10 which give more status than those items, usually can be done incidental to normal adventuring and can be done relatively quickly(except Edgewater drains,I hate that zone).This isn't really punishing anyone. Since the amount of xp is so insignificant and the person still gets personal status if I'm reading it right, the only people it really gets are those who mass buy the items. Unlike the great guild xp nerf with EoF, this is a far more narrowly targeted move and effectively only gets at those who are gaming the system.

Heck I want them to go farther. Since removal of the items isn't an issue, I'd like them to make the items not give guild status at all. At least then you would know that all guild xp was gained by actual effort, not incidence and plat.

It used to be somewhat special to have a level 30 guild and now top level guilds is the norm.

I've never really liked the idea of rewarding folks just for being in a guild so this is a rough issue for me in concept. On the one-hand since they have guild rewards in, they should be nice enough(like some of the LoN items) to want. On the other hand though, I don't like the feeling of "needing" to be in a guild. The only reason you should feel compelled to join a guild is because the guild itself appeals to you. So many guilds (including my now shell guild) exist when they shouldn't because of things like housing (which to be fair, only became an issue with the expanded capacity of offline sales). I still say there should have been a parallel rewards system(with it's own unique rewards) for the individual so that people who put in the personal effort get rewarded.How many guilds have leveled off the efforts of essentially a few dedicated grinders? How many people actually touch writs(not counting crafters) when the guild is capped?I don't like either and there should be some implementation that makes you seriously consider doing writs just about every time you log in.

You know, the easymode Patch for all the guilds that didn't put effort in city tasks etc but who also wanted to reach 60 someday. And I can tell you, you really don't want to level up a guild with only 3 people. Just don't even want to think of RoK. Another 20 Level to grind up, and again they nerf everything and totally eliminate small guilds.

So please don't, just don't tell me anything about earning guild levels. I'm sure I did more city tasks than all of the people responding to this thread together.

They need to also make 60-80 the same amount of guild exp as it takes to get from 0-60. Fuck all this easy mode bull shit. I remember when guilds got 40 in t5 that was an accomplishment. Make guild lvl an accomplishment again plz SOE.

Actually that's wrong, there was a 2nd patch note saying it was reduced by 6% on test, but they forgot to copy that into the final update note, so it wasn't really a stealth nerf, but more of a mis-communication.
