You know the funny thing is, a similar bug to this exists on test, and existed last night! Seems they accidently patched it into live, lol.

My prediction is a rollback to pre-patch because of this and how people probably duped a bunch of plat.

what they should do is open beta for LoN and direct everyone to a webclient of the game so we don't all accidentally start playing the wow 10day free trial

I don't see how people think this bug has anything to do with LoN, shit happens, bugs occur. Why are people so dumb that they blame it on anything that they don't like?

One of the things people on the official forums reported was that zone lockouts got reset when you zoned, so I wouldn't worry too much about being locked out.

(Sounds like something affecting a very few players.) And on looking back over what people have said, it sure seems like less data were being saved -- for *all* characters...

Though, have to wonder how this all got through internal testing and possibly Test server too...?

It was actually only just introduced on test last night at 11pm eastern. Since test does not get the exact same patches as live, there is very little, if anyway, for test to know that this bug was going to be part of an upcoming hotfix. I'm sure they bugged it, but it went live at 11pm eastern, and this patch went live at 10am eastern. I highly doubt the developers looked at all the /bug's right after they patched it, and instead went to sleep, and just assumed that the new hotfix tomorrow(today) wouldn't be broken. If anything, it's just internal testing because I'm willing to bet that people saw this issue on Test, because I know I saw it on Test_PVP.

if you're referring to the two posters before you, i think they were saying that they want something to do so they don't get so bored that they start playing WoW.

lol i was just rereading the entire thread trying to find some reference to LoN causing the problem, and noone claimed that...

I indeed was saying I want a freakin beta invite to LoN and then a way to play it while the servers are down. I sent my email 3 days ago.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the mouth-breathing morons on the official forums begging for a double-exp weekend and blaming this whole debacle on the one little note that got put on the patch notes (which is a PvP fix for an LON item).
