1) Unique, Innovative, and Challenging scripts for raid-mobs.
-This would be difficult to accomplish, sure. Theres a lot of raids in this game and making them all unique would be difficult. But how many people are simply tired of the copy/paste dps, heal through aoe's, heal tank and kill the big mob? I know I am. I want more encounters that push the limits, make you think on things, are new in their own way, take time to figure out. Raids like DMP, PoS, Matron, Chel'Drak are what I'm talking about. Challenging and pushing coordination to an extreme ammount. Now if we could just get a little more innovative, and a little more fights like that I know I'll be happy.

2) Raid Progression
-Self Explanatory, but people shouldn't be able to do extremely difficult raids in mediocre gear, atleast in my opinion. Sure it should be skill based, but lets make things push harder, hit harder, make every little extra bit of gear count in making the raid happen.

3) Itemization
-Not too hard either. Make the most difficult encounters in the game drop the best items in the game. Items with unique useful effects.

1. what, you don't like playing the game of "where the fuck did the mob go?" then "Oh hey, he's under the floor/stairs/in the wall" or "omg, he's bringing everything in the zone with him! FEIGN FEIGN!"? :D

2. LOL That dippy ice cometing Wizard in Maj Dul for carpet 3 landed a melee hit on my 70 monk last night. Ok how the HELL is it my Fury can swing barefisted for an hour and a freakin half and not hit an equal con monk but a frigging gray mage can pop my monk in the face?

I'd like to expand this to: a mob should only be ONE CLASS. Since when are there hybrids?? If he's an SK mob, then ok, HT makes sense, but not when it's followed with something wacky like debilitate.

What do you guys think of the idea of making some of the old instances have lvl 70 versions? Like Faroth v 2.0 and hes a level 70 mob. Or the old antonica instance with the arch lich at lvl 70... It wouldnt require too much from the devs i dont think>?

To make this game better I would do a lot of things. Here is a list of a few:

1)Merge like classes such as Berserker and Guardian or Fury and Warden.
2)Itemize by difficulty and rarity.
3)Balance classes which includes mage and scout DPS, hate gain vs damage, and other things similar. What I would probably do for this is make direct threat > direct damage and also add more hate reducers for mages.
4)Create more raids for various types of people. By this I mean making x2 and x3 raids for casual players x4 for the above casual and hardcore and then stuff with very hard access quests for the hardcore gamer. Basicly go back to stuff like sleepers tomb keys and vex thal keys from EQ1.

I would go into more detail but that would take up a lot of time and effort that SOE isnt paying me for.

1. Itemization. Fix loot tables. I think we're all aware of the Deathtoll situation, small amount of named mobs, but the loot tables are fucking huge. Each time people fight any mob there, most of the time they are praying IRL for the right item to drop, only to be let down. Make raid mobs have set loot tables, with a smaller variety of items, and add more of them. Factor risk vs. reward into the actual fucking equation.

2. Raid encounters. How fucking boring is it to just "dps, heal, kill" ? I may have not killed Matron or DMP, but honestly, it got to be such a drag to log in during t6 and t7. Sure, I like to raid, I think it's fun, but the fights are so boring that I could do many of them while half asleep. Matron fight was a step in the right direction, for sure.

Bring in some complex geometry with mob AoE! How about an AoE that's something like a negative pedal curve ellipse? Sure, the ranged AoE's from Chel'Drak, Bonesnapper, and Matron were cool, but get more technical with it. I'd like to see people actually have to get into FORMATIONS for raids. Not some cluster all the time, how about a vanguard or box or rabble formation? Well, most of the time its a loose rabble, but whatever. I could go on and write a few pages of opinions about raid encounters, but I'll keep this one brief.

3. How about evolving items? Remember the Coldain ring from Velious? You had to upgrade it by doing different quests. EoF had the Ring of the Four Winds, that was alright, but I'd like to see more things like that.

4. Unique effects on items. No-brainer. Let's see more thought out procs and effects then FT, Regen, feedback effects, DD procs. The items from Nizara were a step in the right direction. I hope SoE stays along that path. Procs from t5, all I have to say. Make shit powerful again. Make it drop off powerful mobs.

5. With the addition of the class-specific armor in EoF, I hope they make us work for it. Nothing would piss me off more then it just being another relic type situation, where you kill any raid mob, the template drops, and all you have to do is combine it with gems from a fucking heroic or solo mob.

MAKE US HAVE TO WORK FACTION FOR IT! Remember Velious? Nuff said.


Since they aren't raising the level cap in EoF, I hope there's a ton of content for us to work on. Faction rewards, AA skills, hidden access areas, raid progression, evolving items, and a fucking interesting storyline.

Allow mastery of more than just one tradeskill.

Bring back eq1 type aa's ( hell then id come back to eq2 )

Revamp older less used zones and contested.

Epic quest! that almost defined a toon in eq1.

More class spec quest.

Delete Papagorgio.

Bring back beastlords.

Bring back Guk. The planes and stuff like that...hell they are gods the can redo the eq2 storyline.

Bigger chest on Barb chicks.

Mobs that rank above epic x4

Add complete heal to spell line.

and BRING BACK SEBELLIS...ohh the chef camp *memories*

If they every bring back the AA points from EQ1, I'll quit. The slow progression of those points made Baby Jesus cry. CRY.

More instance zones for X2 content. (Not revamped maps with dubmed down X4 mobs.)

Beastlords with VAH SHIR. The pug nosed Kerran made me laugh. (Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?)

Merge Fury and Warden. They should have never bastardized the Druid class like that. Never.

Give Wardens a friggin Debuff for raids, please!!! Christ, I hate feeling useless on raids other than my HoT and the pitiful DPS I bring.

Better fucking AA lines for the Bezerker. Seriously, what self respecting crazed warrior is going to use a fucking buckler in battle? A buckler? Are you serious with yourself?

PATHING Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick. I can't tell you how fucking annoying that is. And heeeyyyy...while we're at it, fix it so chests don't disappear in walls either. THANKS.

GIVE US OPTIONS FOR HORSES! Fucking A. I...play a Druid. Druids can't wear plate. We can't wear anything heavier than leather. Why...on God's green earth...would I fucking ride a horse that wears plate?

And what... the gnomes haven't invented saddlebags yet? WTF.

If I wanted to make the game better, I would take away the official forums and only leave the ability to get tech support on them. I would also whip the devs with alcohol coated fiber optic cables if they were caught writing walkthroughs or leading players through the game so that there would be fewer accurate spoilers out there. (Sure you say "don't look at them, then." When every 3rd or fourth person you group with has read it, it still lessens the surprise, which for me is one of the best parts of the game.)

On the other side of that, I would keep my official documentation (website) up to date so that all of the new players don't have to go to Ogaming to find out how to tradeskill and do HOs, etc.

I would also keep an open line of communication about where I was going with the game. In the beginning, it still felt like the game was unfinished and they were promising guild halls and all kinds of crazy crap. Just like polititians, I know that they are afraid to announce what they want to do because they would lose people who disagreed with them. In the early days, it was more exciting because they were admitting to pondering so many things, it felt like the game had so much potential and there were great things ahead. These days, we are getting the silent treatment because our relationship is strained. It seems like they are focused on making reactionary changes and luring new players while we remain concerned about what they are going to screw up now.

I really feel like SOE is done with us and has moved on to the next thing. It comforts me that EQ1 is still out there and doesn't seem to be abandoned. I am looking at that from the outside, though.

The epic arcade-ness of the game is sorely lacking. On old console games, when you get to a named boss, you get some fucking BOSS MUSIC.

The question SOE needs to answer is, why do I love playing the same Castlevania levels over and over, but have trouble keeping interest in doing a heroic instance repeatedly? Is the theatrical presentation lacking that bad? Is the music completely un-engaging? Is there even music at all? I've read books on video game design in the past that made the claim that music soundtrack was on equal par with graphics in importance.

I'll take it a step further. Remember that long post that the one guy from NPU posted about the storytelling aspect being painfully absent from this game? Well I certainly do.
