I believe the best way to determine an approximate order of class difficulty is to have everyone rank their top8 easiest and top8 hardest classes to play. Then just compare the results and see where we end up. I say top8 because that would give us the upper 3rd and the lower 3rd of easiest/hardest classes. Leaving the middle 3rd (which is very hard to distinguish) open to discussion. That being said please don't fall under the impression that I am saying any class is *hard* to play. I'm merely saying some classes require more focus, awareness, etc. then other classes.
Seeing as I started this post I'll go ahead and jump in with my top8
Top 8 easiest:
1. Brigand
2. Troubador
3. Dirge
4. Templar
5. Mystic
6. Guardian
7. Inquisitor
8. Illusionist
Top 8 hardest:
1. Assassin
2. Ranger
3. Warlock
4. Swashbuckler
5. Wizard
6. Paladin
7. Coercor
8. Shadowknight
This leaves my *middle of the pack* classes being Warden, Fury, Defiler, Conjuror, Necromancer, Monk, Bruiser, Berserker.

Wow!! You've played 16 classes to lvl 70 just to figure out which one is the easiest? Nice work!
I'm wondering why people like you always have to post even if they have nothing to say.
How can you know such about all these classes? Please explain this to me. I can say that at least 90% of players don't know how my class is played an what my class does. I don't care about that. Most important to me is that my class is fun to play and challenging when you try to get the maximum out of it. I think this is the same with other classes.
A player that understands the game mechanics should be able to play any class after some time. Players that don't understand it cannot be good players even if they play a class that you think is "easy to play". You need experience to play a class good. The longer you play it the better you get.
You think the Brigand is the easiest class to play? You must be the best briga then.
Tell me why the Illu is between the Inqui and the the Warden. I don't know how easy Inqui and Warden are playable but you will explain it to me with arguments and knowledge of these classes I bet.
