Saying swash is more difficult then brigands is a fact. There is something called AR which you seem to not be aware of. This skill single handedly makes brigands the easiest class in game, if you don't understand this then I don't know what to tell you. Also to say that brigands have to think about aggro and therefore are more difficult is just crazy. Brigands hardly have to think about aggro as it is, and they don't even have to pay attention to things like AE's, which is only a fundamental part of the game evident in almost every raid encounter.
As for you talking about skill positions (MT) I'll agree. However I'm not talking about skill positions, I'm talking about the classes themselves.
In response to Pronoia about the hardest being any raid tank or healer and the easiest being any raid dps I'd have to say this is one of the dumbest comments I've ever seen. Playing any healer, even a raid healer, is fucking easy. Any fighter besides the MT also has it pretty damn easy.

Ummmmm yeah this is retarded.
Are you saying that jousting makes your class difficult to play? One of the most difficult even? And that not having to joust makes brigands the easiest?
That's just stupid. If that's the kind of logic you're using to "rank" difficulty here, then you should probably refrain from making these kinds of posts.
Thanks.

Nah jousting isn't difficult, nothing in this game is difficult. Do you not understand this? Actually I'll tell you what's difficult...getting some fucking nemesis from lab. Anyways this post is partly serious in that I believe some classes are just much simpler to play. I see a terrible player (Lubij) playing a necro and doing similar dps to a good necro (Doompa). I see an assassin (Warsong) doing 60-70% of my dps on average, yet he has better gear in every aspect. Neither class is *hard* or even *difficult*, necro's are however simpler to play than assassins.
As I said earlier my post was part serious, but it was also part in jest. You can see this by my rankings of Illusionist and Coercor and how Brigands were placed at the #1 spot. I was talking with Falco at the time and he had said something about Calaglin. So I put the chanters on opposite sides of the scale with his class being in the easiest knowing he'd see it. The brigand comment was meant to stir the pot, I wanted to see some good flames. Unforunately your attempt failed.
As far as the actual scale is concerned I don't believe you can really rank the *hardest* classes for lack of a better word. However there are some classes that stand out as the most simple and I think you could semi-accurately rank those.
Your Welcome.

Re: Easiest Class? Voice your opinion!
I disagree with Templars being easy. It is a harder class to play than many realize, which is why alot of Templars out there suck hardcore (and most of em don't even know it). Elrohn, Reznor, Ezreal, myself and the rest of our little Templar gang will back that up.
Healers have to pay attention, micro-manage spells / power consumption etc but paying attention is by far the hardest. The group doesn't insta-die if a DPS / Utility class is AFK, but if the tank and / or healer aren't there, the group's usually fucked (assuming they're fighting average + difficulty content).
3 cheers for the newb Templars crying for more DPS AA's

Re: Easiest Class? Voice your opinion!
This is a good idea for a thread...okay so i was wondering, where do swashbucklers fall into this? They look like they would be a busy class to play with having to maintain a steady dps while avoiding aoe [avoiding the aoe isnt always that tough as stated before] and throwing your correct debuffs [ I dont know anything really about the class this just is just how it seems to me] can any swashy confirm their class's ease?
Edit : Also, how about rangers? so the majority agree their dps isnt the most jaw dropping thing, but does this mean that one has to adapt their playstyle and perfect it to put out the higher numbers? does this make it a tougher class?
just curious and seeking some info

Re: Easiest Class? Voice your opinion!
Before too many people get all hurt, no class is hard and all classes can be played above average to an extent.
Anything that is one dimensional is the easiest as far as im concerned. Those very few classes that have multiple rolls are the ones that are ever so slightly more difficult. For example, a swashbuckler in a heroic group can be really versitile, but in a raid they are fairly one dimensional. A raid swash is easy to play well, a heroic swash is a bit more difficult.
Just my top 3 easiest raid classes to play well would be
Brigand
Almost any fighter
A non tank group healer
3 hardest classes to play well would be
Off tank group tank
Either enchanter
Bard
Yeah bards and enchanters are looked at as buff bitch classes but to play them well you have to do a lot of different things. The off tank tank has to go from offensive mode to defensive (and that means more than just a stance if they are good) and be ready to do that if need be. Other classes in a raid just arent creative enough.
My 3 easiest group classes to play
Sorcerer
Predator
Tank
The 3 hardest for a group setting would be
Summoner
Rogue
Solo healing Cleric
Summoners and rogues have the benefit of being a top end jack of all trades. They can tank, they can crowd control, they can do it all basically and if they are played well they are like having more than 6 people in a group. Then I put cleric because if your in a good, fast moving group there is no way in fuck a cleric as the only healer could keep the people alive. I dont care if you think your the best cleric on earth, there is no way in fuck you could ever keep my xp group alive.

...what? The main reason I retired my troub was because it was boring and took no skill, and I considered myself one of the best gamewide.
Apart from timing Bladedance/Turnstrike correctly, coordinating Jesters with the Brigands and using PotM on large encounters, there's no difference between playing a troub and playing a brigand. We both just sit in AE and hit the mob, the difference is if the brigand wasn't trying, people would notice. I won't talk about using CAs/spells and doing DPS as that's the same really for all scouts.
I really don't think two spells and an AA make us one of the hardest classes to play. The fact is, we could go afk and be nearly as effective - why do you think I was always the first person to go AF and bot a class we actually needed?
