i been well, i seen ya lurking now and then .....me im still plodding around on a few different toons, not doing a great deal of raiding but am trying to do more. Apart from that, just tryin to stir the shit a bit thought i might get a few people fooled with my post but none the less i didnt....better luck for me next time hehehe

EoF was pushed back and TFD added in. The EQ2 team convinced whomever is above them at SOE that a 6 month expansion cycle was not going to be good for the game and that a longer life with some adventure packs was better.

Didnt any of you read that news update last spring?

Isn't that the general preference though? Wait until it's shiny and clean. Everything works, etc.


Unfortunately that's the one downside to console vs pc, is that we have to wait for extended periods of time, and sometimes end up not getting what we really hoped for. Consoles basically get it when they're told they are, and once in a great while, it's not what they expected.

Like metroid prime. what a letdown.


If the game were ever rolled back to T5, I'd bring Boom back.

T5 skills and abilities and scaling? I would quit, as would every other enchanter. It would NEVER be fun to play an enchanter, even if they're required for raiding. Fuck people who want T5 skills/abilities back. T5 content, fine whatever, T5 Abilities/Skills? Fuck you.

Weird slip up for sure. I too would like to see EoF get pushed back so that we get a more complete release instead of them trying to fix things for weeks after it has been out. Releasing it early will kill the motivation for people to rush thru it fast and more high end players will skip out of eq2... That's exactly what I saw with DoF.

Gonna agree with this here tier 5 content owned but I remember the days of spell upgrades doing nothing but taking more power. Spells that didn't do anything Spider Stance for a monk for example +15 defense stayed the same from app 1 to master 1 the only thing that changed was the haste and that didnt stack with our other buffs. Things like that were some of the problems with tier 5 spells.

Aggro from buffs allowed the tank's role to be much easier back then and buff stacking for hp was great. Sure some things were nice but they changed it for a reason and I like how a lot of things work these days. All I want to see is a bit more progression like it was in eq1 where in order to do well in the next expansion you will need some of the best items from the deepest places of the previous expansion. With EoF not raising the level cap they have a great opportunity to do that here as long as they can do it right.

Never played a chanter in tier 5 just a monk but I do remember back when buffs dropped on FD our SK waited for the Illusionist to PR the whole raid then FD'd him. Boy was the chanter mad :P
