is it just me or do only complete asstards play scouts on pvp servers.

50% of a pvp servers population is assassins, brigands, rangers and to a lesser degree, swashbucklers. you roll a scout on a pvp server for a variety of reasons, sure its easy to kill people and most people are in it for the quick fix. except when you run into someone who is good.

i havent spent the better part of my pvp career as a wizard trying to avoid getting insta-gibbed by newbs who are scouts. generally, scouts will confidantly roll up to you with little to no cold and heat resist expecting you to get wtfpwnedbbq by their overpowered pvp abilities for the free kill. if i could only hear what they say when they get grilled in the face with ice nova for 6k cuz their cold resists is only 400.

its bad enough that scouts roll over casters, especially rangers since you cant stop them from killing you before you get a spell off. but its even WORSE, when they brag about their pvp abilities while spaming their evac button every time they go below 70% HP.

there is one guild in particular called 'homicide' on qeynos on nagafen, i personally refer to them as 'homocide'. here is the roster for homocide.

this guild literally rolls around with 4-5 scouts in a pvp group and if any one of their HP bars drop below 80, they all spam evac at the same time.

Now, i am not the megawhiner i am frequently being accused of, but this guild is what defines 'faggot'. while most pvp groups do indeed consist of 2 or 3 scouts, homocide makes it their personal mission to roll around with no less than 4 at any given point in time, if they encounter mass pvp, they all burn their abilities on one person (usually a caster) and then they triple evac to the front of the qeynos gate.

homocide is what is just one example of this, as i mentioned above, scouts like to kill some caster (me) and then brag about it on the open forums. i am not personally phased by retards and their easy class when they brag about killing a class with less mitigation then a stack of wet paper towels, however, motherfuckers still find a way to brag about their classes superiority to mine and many others in pvp, probably not thinkin about how if the game was balanced properly, these players would frequently get their tits blown off in quick fashion.

My other biggest point to this bitch thread is when scouts brag about their pvp ability to maintain master titles.

"look at me, i have the highest damage output in pvp"

"hey guys, check it out, i can evac while im running away."

"yo duderz, how do you like my ability to track, an ability which no other class gets."

"man-yo, like my mitigation? its only second to the almost non-existant plate tanks"

no, you play an overpowered class in a sea of classes with flaws and weaknesses. if you are losing, you hit one button and minimize your screen until its safe. there is nothing skillful about it, you getting master 3 times as a scout is only a combine display of how much of a total nerd you are and your in game ability to press 1 button in front of a caster or priest to be victorious.

i will end by saying that i hope they nerf your class to shit in the EoF changes. i hope every other class gets an ability to walk up to you and devour your face, i hope you are forced to leave this game knowing that the only reason you got where you are is because sony sucks are balancing pvp.

As long as auto-attack doesn't require power and can't be interrupted (or has too tight a granularity for an interrupt to matter), it will have the edge over spellcasting.

Curious side question... how many occurences of stifle are there in the game, compared to daze?

i play a ranger because i always have been its the most fun for me..
i played one in eq1 on RZ i played one on Unrest when eq2 came out and now i play one on Nagafen because its the class i like, altho i do agree most people rolls scouts because they are the easiest to kill with..

i got an alt brigand just to get up high lvl so i can restrain dispatch devitalize maliscious assault double up.. think im gonna have just 2 daggers no gear and masters of those skills and app1 everything else since its all ill need.

well for the first time i kinda have to agree with gilgame, well kinda....playing a scout and getting a title isnt that much of an accomplishment.. yes its nice to have but not as hard to get. now getting Master title as say a Templar like my friend Cifu thats hard work, no dps no evac... only thing is he did run with me a lot =)

but gilgame for you to come here and talk like you own in pvp is misleading because imo you arent that good, i have seen you run multiple times whether in a group or solo. my cold resists are great but they dont suck, around 4k most times.

instead of whining about running into homicide and them being a full group of scouts make a group to defeat that..
they run around with like 2 swashes 2 rangers 1 dirge and warden around that. so you get like a zerker or guard brigand brigand brigand healer and you..or take out the zerker and get a brig in place... they wanna have all scouts so you do too.. have the tank taunt his ass off and let the brigs go to work... root a ranger and you stand next to him

or get a defiler inquis you brig guard/zerk assassin. if you want a more normal group....so just think about it what would be the best group for most situations..

btw have your tank intercept on you and make sure your healer keeps a close eye on you..
somethings cant be helped if they are gonna focus you then they are gonna and you might just die but its pvp just take your death and dont cry. just fraps everything and when they gank you and evac cuz the rest of the group is gonna kill them just post that when they call you out imo..

you should 1 v 1 me sometime gilgame

They can't get combat right on PvE after 2 years and 2 combat revamps. My guess is PvP will take at least 4 years and 4 combat revamps!

While I have to agree with Gilgame on this one, I think PVP with a scout is easy. You can track to get the first kill, you can evac to evade being killed and overall have the DPS to sustain easy wins... I do however disagree with all scouts choose it becuase it's easy. I choose a Brigand from the start because before PVP it was the least played and most ambigous class before PVP.

As far as gaining up on Homicide with a differnt group of Scouts is a moot point... they have 5 evacer's they will evac everytime they wont win... I think his point is they roll that way because all of em are to afraid to fight any other way.

I only have a 41 Warden on PVP so im sure it will get worse but nothing annoys me more than the scout that comes up and tries to get the quick kill on me then decides to evac when I get him down to 10%.

if you didnt have the innate ability to pwn me in less then 6 seconds, you would be toast. when a player starts out with a shitty class in pvp they need to rely on skill to beat other players. in any even setting i would totally annihilate you skillwise.

from what ive seen pheelin, you roll around with darkhand in bigger groups of scouts then homicide does, but at least darkhand occasionally uses classes other than scouts sometimes. ive never seen you solo pvp pheelin, but ill duel you after the EoF changes.

im solo a bit, lately ive been lvling with my friends that just started..
ask etherian if i solo. i ran into him the other day had us a good fight about half way through 2 more jumped in and helped him...

but reason im out with big groups a lot is because people ask hey you pvping cuz most times i am so i dont turn my guildies down when they wanna come get some kills, so since my guild LOVES to pvp they just add up out there. sorry most of FP hates pvp and is rarely out...

but why EoF changes? because manaburn is supposed to insta kill anyone no matter their resists or anything?
if you dont use it (if its that way in live) then fine.
dunno why you wanna wait we can do it now and after the changes to see if eof changes anything... what if EoF hurts you more? btw there really isnt much you can do to prepare for fighting a ranger... not like when you seen my friend log on his bruiser and say duel me now (knowing he didnt have time to get ready) where as you had all day and time to get cold/ heat gear and potions that you guys werent supposed to use... you know who im talkin about... btw we dont let him live that down =p... same as when arrtek got beat by liljoo lol...

anyways anytime you want why not before and after? if your scared thats cool... dunno whats to be scared about im only a ranger that ONLY has big group pvp experience so i shouldnt be any good solo?....
