I don't know about other guilds and we are not an avatar killing guild but we run with 1-2 clerics and 6 total healers except on certain encounters where we would use 7, ie wuoshi. Actually we did it with 6 last friday.

We kill most content w 6 healers now too, but most rosters i see have 7 to 8 healers. And what guild will ever run less then 2 clerics 1 templar 1 inqusitor? Heck we run 2 templars, 1 inqusitor ourselves. Even the TOD roster has 8+ healers and 3 clerics.

I would also expect w RoK coming out more guilds will go back to 7 healers. Which i find good to a point. Tired of every class thinking thier main role now is how much dps they can do. We got healers specializing for dps, tanks specializing for dps, utility classes specializing for dps. You know it would great if healers specilized for heals, and tanks specilized for tanking, and utilty specilizing for utility, and Dps specilazing for dps. Thats probably one of the good things about the level upgrade.

Our roster is over 100 toons and most of them are alts. I was stating what we raid with not what we had available. I disagree that people need to concentrate more on their roles as this makes for very bored raiders. Its nice that healers can dps on trash instead of hit ward then go afk heh.

There was not a nerf, but there will be one soon. and Muraha every major guild has had this version that we killed. the encounter hasnt been changed since the whimsical oscillation nerf on sept 25th. If you missed my post showing the logs of the devastation fist hits on sept 22nd and oct 2nd go look at it. or check your own logs.

it would be great if there were viable "healing" specs for all the healing classes, but there just aren't. sorry, try again.

Most raid guilds are running with a 1/3 of their raid being a healer? Seriously, SOE, if this is what is necessary to kill what you deem a top end encounter, let us know so we can go ahead and find a new game.

There are 24 classes, 4 Archetypes. If you HAVE to go beyond that balance to beat a mob, then they need to either scale down the number of classes (which I have actually been calling for since inception [12 is plenty]) or make sure encounters can all be done with a fair mix of Archetypes.

Here's a fix. Cure Arcane 0s recast for mages. Bam, encounter killable with 6 healers.

Tanks and healers are mostly below 2k dps, WAIT before everyone posts, BS im a tank and I do 2XXX, think about it, most of the time that is on trash, so im gonna say tanks and healers are doing under ( but not too far ) 2k dps, while dps classes are pushing 4k. It only makes sense for a tank to try to spec as much dps as they can so the raid as a whole can do more dps - duh. So I think the scale is even, if your dps classes are parsing less then 2k, they suck balls, i think things are balanced pretty well as they are now. Why the fuck would you want to see tanks doing sub 1k dps ???? when rangers and swash's are pushing 4k?

Oh, and take a look at our tank's gear, fuck, I wish he would get some avatar gear already. We beat AoM with a tank who hadnt played for 6 months, a defiler who just hit 70, becuase we are that good!!! Oh and a templar who was on OxyContin and needed candy midfight to stay alive.

Its not SOE's fault disso cant kill it because they refuse to have anymore then 24 people in their guild....thats just poor leadership choices.
