Not only do we have U.S. guild competition but we also have to deal with an Asian and an Aussie guild at all hours of the night and day. Our 26 person roster deals with this quite well and we kill shit with whoever can log on. The rest of the content in the game doesn't even require a 24 person raid force let alone a 24 person raid force with a specific make up.

Yeah if u were as good as Disso u woulldn't have lost PHH .. Disso has only like 22 ppl roster and still hasnt lost EoF contested.

I'd like to start off by saying I'm not in an extremely hardcore guild and we don't kill avatars, whatever(because after this post I'm sure that is the first thing that will be brought up by all those I piss off). I really had fun reading this thread and wanted to stay out of it.....but. Somebody call a WHAAAAMBULANCE and don't forget to bring their CHIHWAHWAH! Grats NPU and Aftermath for being able to be flexible and killing an extremely hard encounter.
As for the whining members of guild D who can't kill it: Refusing to do an encounter because you think it is retarded, even though it has been killed and then bitching about it and making fun of the guilds who did kill it= cowardice and SORE LOSERS, because that is what you are,(well the ones bitching, not the entire guild). I would think that if I were in an extremely "hardcore" guild and we couldn't beat an encounter or refuse to because we were scared, I would probably say Grats to the guild who did and then STFU. You make yourselves look worse by bitching that you don't have geared out alts, don't want to recruit more people for more then one encounter blah blah.
So go ahead and tell me I suck because I don't kill avatars or because I don't have 300,000 posts, but the fact still remains....I AM NOT A SORE LOSER HAHA!

I think the desired end result of a guild roster is to have the same group of people playing each night, and to keep this highly skilled roster stable as long as possible. Seems one, two, sometimes 3 always have an obligation. Sometimes the missing class isn't critical, sometimes it is, particularly if the encounter is difficult. Having alts to fill the gaps can work very nicely. Any top tier guild is going to have at least a small group of people with many capable 70 alts, providing lots of options. Certainly not something planned....it just exists. Some people don't mind playing an alt instead of a main and find it a nice break from the grind. And sometimes it's nice to get a break in raiding to clean the 15 dirty glasses/plates/beer bottles from your computer area and finish it up with a nice thick layer of Lysol.

SOE probably alters the design philosophy every now and then to keep things a bit up in the air so change occurs and people go in a new direction and possibly find a reason to play the game a bit longer. Gotta keep the $$$ coming in.

Losing PHH only once (who we 2 group all the time) at 4am while it is during another raiding guilds prime time and they first pulled it clearly illustrates my point of how contested Najena is, I thank you for your assistance in this matter.

i wonder how many expansions it will take for guilds to stop waving dicks around after every accomplishment, too dumb to realize (or ignoring) how fucking retarded this game is. 24 classes with 24 man raids this type of bullshit is inevitable, combine it with the fact that the encounter designer strikes out time and time again, i think its fair to say that anyone who plays this game as least as possible is the real winner

as soon as the developers have the integrity to make a raid game worth a fuck, then yall can stop pretending you're the flavor guild of the month

disso sd npu + others are all just flavor guilds at the fault of this game, i think it would do you all some good to step back and see that

I really do wish it was different

Excuses. Is there any reason why u didnt kill AoM ? Mob that downed by noob guilds like NPU/AM as u say .

Im sure as hell it wasnt healer problem like Disso.. u had like 10 healers and 5 clerics in raid so it wasnt the problem.

And of course u will loose shit when u have retard fucks like Velizar

damnit people this aint rocket science that im trying to explain here... this is about people with alts being a better choice for hardcore guilds then people that dont have any alts... its what sony is trying to force down our throats with this last avatar...

Player x: he is the best player in his class at this spot... hell he is so damn good at this spot everyone knows he is that damn good... but he only has that one toon no raid ready alts.

player y: while not quite as good as player x has the same exact class as his main. he shows great skill in playing that class while not quite as good as player x he gets the job done a great asset to any guild. player y also has a couple of raidable alts that are of different class types say a healer or a utility class, he plays these with the proficency as his "main" and is happy to play them when needed. but he loves his main he is apping with his main.

okay based upon what sony has shown us with the guilds that were able to take down AOM and the guilds that cant...

it is painfully obvious (doesnt make it right folks just makes it obvious) that sony is pushing towards players that have more then one toon that allows for flexability.

it would seem that the guys that have this attitude
Quote:
And looks like I'll have to quit being "hardcore" since I don't want to play alts
may need to rethink it a bit or they will find that they might be replaced by a player that is willing to play alts to get the WW firsts....
its natural progression folks.. the difference between locking a server down and being an instance guild is not about the toons on the roster... its about the players commitment and self sacrafice to lock down that content... well now hardcore might have to be able to play more then just their main.... sony gave us the slots for a reason... it was to play many different class types.. guess they are tired of not seeing players that do that actually in hardcore rosters...

im done trying to reword this fucking idea flame it if you gotta aint my fault u look like an idiot but the fucking writing is on the wall two guilds have done it because they have that adaptability...
