Just saw the note via the dev tracker that everquest2.com was redone/relaunched for RoK -- it looks quite nice, kudos to their dev team. Gone are the google ads, and the page is no longer a full-page Flash disaster (so that, say, you can give people links and stuff!), and it overall looks nice and polished. I noticed that they now have a Reinstall EQ2 item in one of the menus as well; nice to see that finally linked to prominently.

The FAQ is still pretty weak -- they should take a look at the EVE Online FAQ at EVE Online | Frequently Asked Questions for an idea of what the FAQ should look like (IMO anyway). Note that there's a bunch of FAQ sections listed in the menu on the left, not just that one page.

Haven't looked at the screenshots yet; we'll see if they've improved on SS quality...

they still have ads at the bottom though, times really must be hard considering they can expect 90% of actuive account to pay 40 dollars in the next 3 weeks.

I love the new look of the site.

FAQs will hopefully be added to, those are insane hard to write out and come much better when you add to it little by little as actual issues pop up.

eBay ad..Perhaps if they develop a good relationship with eBay, they will toss a little consideration when auctions go up that violate SOE's policy.

The site is ultra lame. Like the old Eq2players.com site they have fucked up the localization.

The site supports English, German, French and Japanese. But if you come from a different locale then you do not just get the default 'en' locale; instead it tries to map your locale and in that process invalidates all the locale resources (images, text etc.).

The result is that the top menu bar is gone and along with it the language selection menu - this and all the broken images makes the site almost useless.

It is incredible that such a fuck up has gone through Q&A and testing.
One can only wonder how safe their online payment system, if they can not get something as simple as this to work.

Note: If you have the same issues and want to actually see the English site just use everquest2.com/en/ .
