i'm just surprised, after seeing the "new-and-improved" female run animation, that costumes weren't implemented. imagine the playboy bunnies and dirty nurses we'd see running around.

anyway... as dumb as i find it that they put real things in the game, i do enjoy the little bit of something different from time to time.

....still hoping to see executions in the execution plaza....

Personally I rather enjoy the holiday themes since they are relatively short lived. I enjoy gettin items I can put in my house..I know some folks could care less what thier houses look like....but again not everyone in this game is a hardcore raider and some of us enjoy decorating a house and runnin around in costume heads now and then. The music boxes from frostfell last year rocked. I have like 5 full sets of them. I literally logged in each and every toon every day to go get my presents. So to each their own...deal with it.

That axe looks like a giant candycane.
Personally, I like 'em too but Halloween this year is disappointing since its mostly the same as last years. They didn't even fix the rendering bug, or add the trick-or-treat option to newer NPCs added post Halloween '05.

I can't wait to see how Frostfell turns out though since that oGaming interview said "So you are going to start seeing a bigger and better Frostfell celebration" .. lets see!

I've always thought the holiday events were a nice touch. Even if you roleplay, festivals of this nature have been held in roughly the same time periods for many, many moons. The part I have a problem with is the events being the same every year, such as the halloween event. In a world full of Warlocks and monsters, you should NEVER run out of fun creative new ideas. Period. They just rehashed last years shit and said "Ah. Fuck it. We're busy with EoF.". I wonder about the yule event this year. I understand that it can be nice for those people who never got to run those events before ( I am one of those few people), but then again, wouldn't it be better if EVERYONE got to run something new? So yeah, like the holidays, hate the rehash.

I enjoy them tremendously. I even went to a Halloween party the other night on AB. It was great! The players created their own Haunted House in their apartment.

Its nice to see the world of Norrath change a little bit now and again. I'd get bored if it was the same old - same old all year around.

I like the idea of seasonal events. BUT I think they could dream up something a little more original than two of our current holidays.

Norrath now has a huge and varied history, why not make an event about Norrath Lore - battle for bloody Kithicore anyone? That would make a great rememberence day - maybe not a celebration though :P

2 Moons! Surely there's something that could be done around that - alignments, eclipses etc.

There's just so much history to pull from, it should be used more.

As for repeating last years events, given the proximity to the expansion release, I'm glad they reused old content to free up more time for polishing/bug fixing.
