Heard a rumor that RoK Beta is going to become open with tomorrow's update? fact or fiction?

Bet it's more about having "Batch" invites going out and getting more people in, rather than the current "hand" selected batches of people.

You can do a /Beta Add and cross your fingers i guess.

/Beta add won't do anything, you have to fill out the form etc.. I doubt they do open beta, they might allow in a bunch of applicants to stress test due to beta being nearly over (seeing as Kunark is almost here) but I don't think they've ever done "open beta" outside of adv packs.

they will prolly do a mass invite to some of the people that went through normal application to beta way again 2 or 3 days before launch to load test like they did with eof beta...
but, before that point there is most likely no chance to get in if you dont get special invite or bought your way in with going to fanfaire or buting the mag.

They did open beta a week or two before EoF went live. I don't know if they'll do it this time, though, since they set up the beta-key system. I think it would be great if they did, but I kind of doubt they will.

bs. eof beta was never open. it was invite to some by random during last two weeks...
for rok beta the chances for such a thing are far smaller due to the fact of them selling beta spots over the mag.

'probly just means they've done inviting the people who already had invites and they'll start using that random thing. Make sure you signed up....

open beta confirmed: 13th of next month :P (i think it was 13 ayway?)

Actualy, a friend showed me on his beta account. The MOTD when u log in does say open beta starts today.
