I know a lot of people who are just want to see BL back. As for balance, screw it, if they have problems now, then why care so much. I am sure if they wanted they could fix it.
Any moron who thinks EQ2 should add another class should just quit now. We do not need a 25th class in this game. You want to be a beastlord? Play a Mystic. Close enough.

So long...
So long
Then lost in that feeling I looked in your eyes
I noticed emotion and that you had cried
For me
I can see
the only thing i can think of is that every person here who has said no prob never played a beastlord in eq1 because if you did you would have known that they WERENOT the most overpowered class in the game at all.
necro,s were far more powerful with there pets, beastlords could just take a few more hits before dieing...they were not the best of healers...as a matter of fact they sucked at healing...at best they could patch heal...there big heals were for there pets.
any debuffs they got were always lowerlevel then a shammys debuffs.theycould semi tank like a monk but didnt have half of the monks avoidence or ac.
i could go on for pages about how non over powered they were but whats the point...all you no people will still whine and cry about them.
the beastlords were the funnest petclasses to play in eq1 and i hope to fuck they bring them back...
BRING BACK THE BEASTLORDS DAMIT. And as for the rest of you:24 :

It's not that they were overpowered, it's just that they were ridiculously EASY to play WELL. There's a huge difference in that.
And as much as I loved playing mine, I dont' want them back. They have problems balancing the classes we have now. Throwing another in the mix would only fuck it up further.

The point is, in the world of Everquest, what other class had all that in ONE class? The ability to heal, have a pet that could tank/dps well (not great, not awesome, just well), the ability to tank/dps well yourself, the debuffs that were just lower versions of Shaman debuffs, but STILL EFFECTIVE, AND a power regen? In ONE class?
None. How can you possibly say "Well we weren't over powered because there was always someone that could do it better." Well duh! But there was not a single other class that could do it ALL.

You never played the necro in EQ1 did you?
The necro could do most of those things far better than the BL and could do far more even. The reason the necro was by far the most soloable EQ1 class is because the Necro and his pet covered everything a full group needed. The necro in EQ1 had/has (haven’t played in a while) the best mana regen hands down. They were the only class that did not have to sit and meditate after every fight. There debuffs were pretty good, better than the BL. They could heal themselves and their pet rather effectively. Their pet was amazing at tanking and DPSing, to the point that players would ask to duel my necros pet as a way of seeing how they stand, and many did not win. Their DPS was off the charts. Basically, I tried the BL, and compared to the necro it sucked so bad I hated playing it. About the only thing the BL could do better than the necro was buff others.
As to bringing the BL into EQ2. As EQ2 stands now it is a bad ideal. If the current classes in EQ2 started becoming a little more unique, then I would be less opposed to BLs.
