More ignorance. I realize the funny thing to say is that no one tests or blah blah, but FFS you got more than 10 hardcore crafters on beta making everything and filing TS bugs.
Just because you /feedback, /bug, pm someone, email someone, and post about something that is broken/stupid/dumb doesn't mean it gets changed.
That was my point. There are a certain amount of devs, there is a finite amount of time and there is a priority list on what needs to get fixed by launch and what can wait till a few GU after release to fix.
Not only that, but even if in your mind and your entire guild's mind the feedback you provide about "insert raid here" or "insert quest here" or "insert class armor here" is relevant, correct and you provide mountains of statistical and anidoctal evidence pointing out why - if the designer of said raid/quest/armor doesn't agree with you for whatever reason then it
just plain doesn't fucking matter.
The point is I've been in every beta since launch. I've seen the feedback, I've provided a lot of it (fuck I've been accused of nerfing entire classes and shaping others to fit my ideal/playstyle) and I've seen plenty of people post "pages and pages" of feedback where nothing happens. You can be quick to say "SOE doesn't care, they ignored my expert feedback" - but you'll always be a player with a much smaller viewpoint of the game (and a bias) versus a developer. IE: Saying shit like well I gave them awesome feedback and they ignored it, SOE hates us/the game/raiders/my mom is just a bullshit excuse.
I'm just going to laugh when Tangarth finds the issue that tugs at his heart strings, stays up late compiling info about it, posts pages and pages explaining why something should be changed, and it goes live the way it is anyway or is changed in a different way or he is plain shot the fuck down and told that too bad its staying how it is.
The amount of ignorance that is displayed by non-testers is amazing sometimes.
Of course, that is assuming Tangarth is going to RoK beta to test, but I'm a smart guy. I've learned a lot by listening to Dissolution over the years, so I know Tangarth and Co.'s true motive:
Raid guilds go to beta to get a headstart, learn the strats early and run into the live expansion with leet infos so they can WW1st stuff.
Ishbu, Calaglin and the rest of Dissolution at least drove that into my head during my tenure there.
Nice try Tangarth, I almost believed your post, until I remembered what tag you're wearing!

No, I'm not pissed off - I could care less. I just like pointing out shit like this, because we all know if the roles were reversed, Calaglin or someone else wearing your tag would. I mean fuck, Calaglin already did when he came to Widem's defense in the NDA thread.
As for the majority of people that bitched about beta being gone... Calaglin is there and to me that is all that matters. Back at release it was primarily Ishbu, but it mattered because he was the leader. Now its Calaglin, who is the leader, and who I suppose has changed his mind. Doesn't make it any less humorous to me though.
Also: Please don't put words in my mouth. I never said they ignore everything. I didn't even imply that. That's bullshit, I've posted the exact opposite (about feedback being given and shit changing) already.
