Patcher Issues

I got nothing running but the Patcher no anti virus or whatever

OS Windows XP SP2

not behind a firewall etc it starts downloading one file then it cancels the download I push the DL button same file gets loaded and auto cancels again
im really tired of this if anyone knows what could be the possible issue and how to fix it PST this is just annoying

it stops when its fetching the file char_mounts.vpk_delta

Ooops, forgot to add this part.

Look for and delete any 'zero' length files, after a crash i had a while ago, some of the files got corrupt, and only deleting them for re-downloading would let them actually download to play.

Ya, i've had that happen a few times over the last three years. I always had to delete the files and start over.

Not sure how.. I'm a Tech Tard. I just went in and deleted stuff with the right date on it and it seemed to work haha.

Hey guys. After the mini update on Nov 1st, I have not been able to get into EQ2. I get to the patcher, everything seems to download fine and the game starts. I get to the Echoes of Faydwer intro screen. Instead of logging me straight into the character i want to play (any of them) or character select, it says "trying login server #2". It does this 2-9, repeats, and says the servers are busy. I have restored my computer to the night before (when it worked), and have not changed anything about my computer from when it wroked to when it didn't (only thing new is the mini update). Any help would be appreciated.

I have disabled all firewalls, done a virus scan, uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game (took fucking forever...Lol). None of that has worked.

Disable your virus protection. You might even have to uninstall it.

You're stalling on a .vpk? I had a problem with a corrupted .vpk, it kept repatching over and over and over. Nothing worked, I ended up deleting the whole paks directory and repatching it.

um, c:\program files\Sony\EverQuest II\paks

Delete that then repatch, maybe even a full file check.
