The game isn't that hard. If you wanted to roll a new class, I seriously doubt that any of them would be hard to level up (if you had friends to help. PUGs at lower level are nigh impossible to get)

What suggestions for a fun yet durable class do you guys have? Durable meaning, I can solo or group or duo or raid when that time comes. Does such a class exist in this game?
Almost any mage. Some scouts (rogues, predators...I'm not sure about bards) Some healers (Druids and shaman, not sure about clerics) Honestly, it REALLY depends on your playstyle. I don't care for hack and slash feeling, so I prefer the mage approach.

What classes are viewed as "needed"?
Any and none. All of the classes are really "leave em or keep em" Nothing is completely crucial afaik.

What classes are viewed as "worthless"?
Again, none. But say, crusaders, are used alot less in raid guilds than say, Sorcerors. But really, most guilds take most classes.

What is the level cap these days?
70/100 atm. Will be 80/140 once ROK hits live.

What expansions do I have to have to be at cap/do I have to have them, etc?
None. EOF was 1-70 content. ROK is 1-20, 60-80 content.

Should I just wait for Kunark and start a Sarnak if I'm going to start over so I won't feel alone?
I'm going to, although they are as ugly as shit.

Do any cool people play on Kithicor cause that's where I'll be :D
I have a Conjuror alt there, so no one else really matters

Paladins can be useful, but you might have a really hard time getting into a raid guild if that is your ultimate goal. Some have 1 paladin, but many don't have any. There are rare mobs that need more than 2 tanks and the warlock will love you for amends.

Illusionist is high utility, but can solo really well. They are one of the harder classes to master and they are in high demand with raid guilds. If you prefer to melee, you could go swash/brig. Both are solid dps classes, have good utility, solo well and are fun to play. You could also go Sorcerer or summoner (their pet masters cost a fortune).

What classes are viewed as "needed"? Bards are always needed as most guilds have 1 in each group. Enchanters are also in demand. Some of the rarer healers like defilers/inquis.

What classes are viewed as "worthless"? I wouldn't say any class is worthless, but ones that are less sought after are crusaders, brawlers and maybe rangers.

The race you choose would really depend upon the class you choose to play. Racial traits should be taken into consideration for any new toon you plan to make.
