RoK and raiding
Any word on if the raids will be the same old dps this mob with it's adds and single ae. Or will they be harder.
Also is it worth it to come back for a semi-casual player?

It's never worth it to come back as a semi-casual player.

I know what you mean. But I'm not going to give up RL again to raid hardcore. I'm just curious if there will be raids that guilds that raid 3-4 times a week will be able to do.

Re: RoK and raiding
Semi-casual to me means you log on every now and then, burn up your evening sitting there LFG, then ask yourself why the fuck you even continue paying. If I were to go the non-raid route I'd multibox-farm instances and get crafting to level cap, then just buy the gear from raid guilds who are willing to sell. I'm sorry but raiding guilds come in only two varieties: Hardcore and Suck.

Not exactly. If I join a guild that raids lets say every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 EST. I can now say I'll log on on those 3 nights of the week raid and logout. Of course if I would log in on Tuesday I may spend my whole night LFG, but there are still some days I can play and have fun.

Re: RoK and raiding
there are a few interesting twists for a few mobs,
a number need specific items to actually kill, and others are just dps'ing it down

Re: RoK and raiding
At first people will say how awesome and fun the new stuff is like always and then a month after everyone hits the lvl cap and drops all the weak ass EQ2 raid designed it will be the same boring no skill shit as always.
The major flaw in EQ2 raiding is that the devs outright say that raiders wont get any respect.
Sooo we just get copy-paste dirt content...

I'm in the same boat as you. Sure in those type of guilds we probably won't be killing avatars anytime soon (if at all), but at the same time they can still be alot of fun.
