I have to agree. It's pretty obvious that most of the people on beta are going to be idiots. What I'm concerned with, however, is that while there have been plenty of bug fixes and content additions throughout beta, there have been relatively few actual substantive changes made based on the so-called "valuable beta feedback." There are so many outstanding issues involving zone/mob difficulty, item balancing, class balancing, etc. Sony needs to start listening to its (smart) beta testers a lot more.

Lets be honest about this... the goal is to get a somewhat playable version of the game out there, on time, that most people will not gripe too loudly about. They spend the next two months fixing the stuff we figure should be fixed before release and that only happens when the screaming goes from a handful of Beta testers to tens of thousands of subscribers and they risk losing paid subscriptions. Their goal is not, and never will be, to turn out a finished and polished product. Their goal is to get a serviceable product on the shelves by the stated release date because they bought the shelf space long ago.
