Paper and quills here because poor sages chewed through them. That's and the pocket Alchie is what made me realize how terrible the old system was. You could never realistically support the economy unless all you did was craft subs. Very unfufilling to me.

I was just trying to remember all the interdependancy items WW's had. Let's see...

Chems
Studs
Struts
Shods
Hilts
cloth
padding
bars
sheets
plates
hooks
spikes
stretches of leather
straps
cords

ahh the rich days of the alchemist - I liked it most after LU 5 or so... when they fixed allot of the chemestry bizz.

Only reason i became a chemist was to provide low cost ink to the others... I felt the craft was dead when the cross crafting books came out.

I prefer the old way except for the WORTs.

Remember when adept3 and ebon was pretty damn nice?

Yeah, i understand there was problems in the system. But it was great meeting other crafters. Even App4's were useful back then. I think all in all eq2 had a lot of great potential that never delivered. I dont know why there couldnt be go out adventuring and an instance drops "gem of ruby armor" and you need a crafter to make it. That would make a nice balance and would include crafters in the game a lot more.

Crafting was a serious endeavor and I respected it and vowed never to do it. Having less aggressive players manage the supply side of the Struggle added a very nice touch of variety.

Were there real content to crafting my opinions might be different but, since there isnt and really has never been, one clicky grind hell is about as good as any other.
This sums it up for me. I would rather a quickly done clicky hell than a long drawn out clicky hell.

Pro.

I'm torn. I hated the fact that I had to make the quills, the paper, the ink, the dye for the ink, the stuff to make the dye for the ink, the wood for the quills and paper, the resins and stuff to go with the wood for the quills and paper and THEN make the spell. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. God forbid I ran out of supplies or ingredients. Then I had to run not only to the chem table, but the woodworking table, THEN back to the engraved desk. And god forbid the stuff didnt come out pristine. I never used anything but pristine stuff, so then I had to sell that wasted stuff...which for some reason sold for more than the pristine. So that part I hated. The part I did like is that those things helped me lvl. So again...I'm torn.
