Maybe on a blue server, but these offer a lot of fun on PVP servers. When i was working my SoD in CMM, my group ran into the Exile Guild and that made for some interesting fights. It is a real test of tactics when you not only have a crap ton of mobs beating on you, another group beating on you, and that retarded Elemental AE when you have 10 sec cure recasts -_-. Personally, I find it keeps the game interesting for a lot longer.

i seriously dont understand the whole instanced philosophy. isnt that just like playing by yourself? there are plenty of RPGs to play by yourself where you dont have to have any contact with anybody.
How does running an instance with 5 other people equate to playing with myself? Unless Im 6 boxing I think Im still playing with others just not in an open environment

Who am I having contact with in an open dungeon? Its not like we are stopping to chat with random group number 6 on the way through the zone. TBH another group is no more than an obstacle to me to either jump past or divert around.

As long as the open dungeons create new 'instances' once the population in zone reaches a certain amoun to eliminate insane lag Im not overly particular what kind of dungeon it is.
