I play on a PvP server, and the ability to jump a little higher/farther wouldn't cause any balance issues at all. Fairies AND people with gnomish jumpboots have done that for a year now, and I have yet to see that give any advantage in PvP combat. It
can be used tactically to reach certain places , but it has very limited use even as that - and anyone with more than single digit IQ can easily follow. In combat it means nothing. This is a non-issue. Things like snare reduction and stun immunity will grant much greater advantages in PvP than that super jump ability ever will.
As for runspeed, I am willing to bet a lot of money it won't work in PvP combat. Nothing but bard speed does.
I agree that there are too many ways to escape from PvP in this game, but how about we start with removing the biggest problem of them all then -
evac.
I haven't been able to find out for sure if super jump for frogloks is still there or not, since I'm not in beta I can't check it myself. But it really doesn't make any sense at all if they removed it. I think a race with a name and appearance as describing as "
froglok" should be able to jump higher/farther than for example a human character, but right now we can't. I was hoping this racial revamp would change that...
