I've been looking for patch notes as well. I don't know what they're keeping secret, but there's NOTHING that looks like patch notes.

I have 12mb cable and have been downloading for 30m or so so far.

The blue progress bar has yet to even show movement and the estimated time for finish is 34 hours.

Something seems wrong imo.

Yeah. Open your client from your eq2 folder, not the shortcut. Not sure why, but it always works for me.

i'm patching with an estimated time of 9 hours, 15 minutes later it's an estimated time of 3 hours, bouncing around. I haven't ordered ROK and won't be buying it until the first, but it's still patching for me.

Seriously people this ain't the first expansion to ever come out. Sony will have the servers down MAYBE till the right time, but then they'll come back down for an emergency patch, or 5, over the next few days.

You should be able to download the files without ordering the expansion, because it's a digital download, where as if you'd just bought the retail box and never had the game installed you'd be getting all the same information. Just because you HAVE the files doesn't mean you can access the content.

And as far as the credit card goes you may not get an email, and it might not show up on your card immediatly, because there's a delay in the way dedit cards (or debit cardS) charge. It's been charged, it's just not showing up.

Bringing the Rise of Kunark expansion to the EverQuest II Live servers is taking a little longer than initially anticipated. With that in mind, our current estimate for the expansion downtime to end is at approximately 2:00 PM PST. Thank you for your patience while we continue to work to bring the expansion to a live server near you.

Also, the EQII Official Forums are also suffering under the load today. We are doing what we can to improve stability and performance, but please be patient!

It took me most of the day to finally get the "play" button only to find servers locked and downtime extended. I came back to EQ2 on 11/9 and so far I am FAR from impressed. After 3 years of being live and multiple expansions SoE should be better at this stuff. It makes me sad
