Banned forever from SoE forums

Station.com is set-up so stupidly for pre-ordering anything, it was much much easier and way less confusing to order it thru Direct-2-Drive. So I did. But I am so dumbfounded by the fact that SoE can't make it easy or clear to order one of their own xpacs it prompted me to make a post about it. Deleted immediately. Ok, maybe they didnt like the reference to D2D. So I re-did post and changed "D2D" to "competitor". Banned permanently lol. Below is a copy of the post that got me banned. . . .

I just posted about my experience trying to order RoK direct from Sony and the SoE website was so confusing and vague as to what I was ordering, they basically forced me to order from a competitor.
After I finally made it to the station.com website, there was NOTHING that said "RoK" or "Rise of Kunark" or "new expansion" or ANYTHING that told me I was ordering the right thing.
There was one choice for ALL the expansions for $40. However, this choice merely stated I would be buying "all the expansions released to date." Did this mean RoK since it has not technically been released yet? The picture next to this option was a picture of EoF!!!!1!!!1!
Baffled, I went to another site selling the direct download. Contrary to SoE's website, the competitor made it clear that I was ordering RoK. Thank you very much.
I really don't care anymore why SoE can't make ordering their own xpac simple and easy. Everything you do with these people regarding your account takes enormous hoops to jump through. /sigh

(yep, banned permanently for that).

You were probably banned for calling SOE stupid....then reposting the same thing when they deleted your first post.

BTW, the pre-order was simple. Took all of five minutes.

It's pretty clear that they're trying to move all of "us" here, and keep their webpage full of "Thanks devs!!" and "This is why is love SoE!!" posts.

I'm not saying I think they handled this properly (because they weren't very diplomatic,) but I have to agree that buying the expansion was very simple.

Fuck the SOE boards, and fuck Echgar and Gnorbin. I got a two week ban slapped on me for pointing out that they now have filtered the word "nazi" and for giving someone on the Vox boards a bit of good natured shit about yet another "I'm retiring" thread after I saw them in game.

All I said, word for word was "How many times are you going to retire? You're in game right now =p"

Then a post after that I discovered they filtered nazi out and pointed that out, and all I did was say they filtered it, didn't give any shit or anything. next thing I know "you have been banned for two weeks for trolling"

They have the idea that the board is for mods and not the community.
Have they not noticed that the amount of people posting on it is going down more and more? The nagafen boards barely see a dozen posts/comments a day and that used to be one of the most posted pn boards on the site.
Same with the pvp board. You et banned for trash talking to the slightest degree. IT'S A PVP BOARD FOR FFS! Is it going to be all cuddles and hugs?

Clicking the HUGE link to "pre-order RoK now" was easy. It would be similarly easy to click the 3-4 other links to get to the page where you actually order alhtough Direct-2-Drive has only one link to click.

I guess it would also be easy to click the option to pay $40 for "all the xpacs" released to date when there is NO mention or picture of RoK. But that would also be foolhardy since technically RoK had not been released as of yesterday and since THERE WAS NO PICTURE OR MENTION OF ROK. So I wasn't going to drop $40 on stuff I already had. Plus, the same order page said I hadn't ordered EoF yet! WTF? I had EoF since release. This told me they have their heads up their asses over there.

I do stupid things ALL the time. But as a lawyer who passed the California Bar on first try, if I am confused by something that is supposed to be simple, then I'm nowhere near as smart as I think I am or the website is, in fact, confusing.

to be honest with you, i wouldnt be surprised if that is exactly sonys goal... getting more people off their forums... less shit they have to deal with.. yea shitty customer service as usual but thats what this website is for... too bad its getting harder and harder for the players voice to be heard though.

I used D2D also, precisely because SOE could not keep their site up in the week leading to the expansion. Pretty sad.

For those who don't know, the site was up intermittently; but it was timing about every time I tried it in the week prior. Many other people reported this, though some obviously did get through.
