i agree with most of this post, if i hadnt been too lazy and tired from eye strain i would have typed it up myself.

basically, afaiac some people just like to flip out over the littlest bit of change. its due to a couple of factors:

1-some ppl have been shafted by a nerf dildo in the past.

2-some ppl have aspergers and cannot ACCEPT changes. ever.

3-some ppl just like to bitch about everything.

overall this is what the story of chicken little is all about, running around screaming bloody murder the world is ending without really have a serious clue. what i feel bad about however, is the amazing amount of hatred directed at soe devs. haha. and the thing is, i saw all the pics grimwell posted on his mojobaby account and all those ppl look wicked cool even though they need to upgrade a bunch of their crapy crt monitors, i doublely feel for them.

so what ifs GU stuff? doesn't change anything i said. and fyi every expansion that had a GU attatched to it had the contents of the entire GU under NDA, its not like RoK is the first exp pack to do this.

25% bonus poison count isn't all that great, saves you a bit of money i suppose but thats it really. +2% double attack is good i'll give you that, but its at least in line with other racial abilities. FoI, despite what everyone says, isn't all that great. sure its overpowered compared to other racial abilities, but in the big picture its not all that significant. it SHOULD be nerfed imo, don't get me wrong.

I guess you don't play a poison user. 25% poison count bonus is HUGE. Halflings and Rats also get this bonus, but they don't get the other two pieces of candy to go with it. If the poison count bonus was only 2%, then I'd agree that it's sweet, but not major. However, 25% poison count bonus is HUGE for a rogue or a predator.

On the other side, anyone playing a dark elf, halfling or rat who does not use poison got screwed out of a racial because this is worthless to them.

If it were 2% poison count bonus + 1% double attack + FoI recast of 60 minutes I wouldn't be sqawking (so much).

I play a dark elf tank... I picked random racials, they all suck for me but one.
At least I have safe fall now, sigh... fucking allow these racial respecs once and be done with it.

QFE, this racial only affects how many times the poison triggers before running out, it doesn't affect dps at all.

edit: PS, my main is an assassin, just fyi. i do know what i'm talking about. (unless this ability was changed very recently)
