To break things down to see how helpful 25% extra poison count is:

Scouts can use three types of poisons at once. On some the harder EoF raid zones (MMIS, FTH, etc.) I'll typically go though at least seven of each of these poisons (this is a conservative estimate, sometimes it more like 10). Thats 21 total poisons. Each poison typically sells for about 3gp on the broker. Thats 61 gold per raid. 25% extra poison count is going to save approximately 15 gp per raid. The next tier of poisons will cost more meaning the amount saved is going to increase. 15gp doesn't seem like much but that will pay for a repair kit or help offset the cost of the plat repository. This savings benefit is even larger if you routinely use poisons in group settings.

At least 7 poisons in FTH / MMIS?

Always using 3 mastercrafted poisons (on trash, even in groups?) doesnt exactly give you a lot of bang for your plats, either.

And even if it DID amount to as much as 15gp per raid I'd stand by what I said, it does nothing for you but save a few gold. I'd take 1% crit over that anytime.

(Not complaining about this racial trait. Just saying it's silly to call it "HUGE", or even list it as a reason for rerolling to another race or whatnot)

Bitching about people bitching.... it's been done. Welcome to EQ2flames. Please add a little spice to your next rant. I took the time to read it but immediately became concerned that Kendricke has siblings out there or something.

Thinking that they will fix the issues that people are unhappy with is horribly naive. It took them forever to fix some of the classes we have these days. Hell, remember how long it took them to even optimize things so that the servers didn't have to reboot almost daily?

Atleast the two games that I thought were so incredibly screwed up by their developers, I merely quit. They're practically gone now, so it looks like the market has spoken. Maybe it is murmuring in this case. Look at the ads on Stationplayers. You laugh at characters too broke to buy poison, but the real joke is a company that can't afford to maintain a web presence that has been worthless for the last 3 years.

edit to add: almost every type of flame has been done already. I don't see why i should add more to spice up this flame, its not for your amusement. i'm not going to deviate from my opinions for you, and that was all i had to say on the subject. thanks for the welcome tho

there is a huge difference between fixing and balancing nearly every class after a huge revamp (LU13 is what im referring to) and changing 1 (or 2 i guess) racial abilities and making what should be minor changes to a few classes here and there, tho imo crowd control in raids really needs to be looked at, but thats another thread. anyways, sure they're not always fast, but they do fix stuff eventually. and optimizing a server is different than balancing classes, but not something i know much about so no comment from me there.

nowhere do i laugh at people too broke to buy poison, i am one of those people. i never said the racial bonus to poison triggers is crap, i just said its balanced compared to other abilities. And what makes you think SOE can't afford to maintain a web presence? they haven't been doing all that bad recently.

Is there a shortage of inkies and fairies? I wasn't aware... I can count over ten people a night playing some variation of "Drizzt", and probably twenty fairies flipping around with ubarglide.

Nickle and dime? WTF We get our 4th expansion for $39 which includes EVERYTHING that came before. Now talk about nickle and dime, go out and pick up burning crusade for $39 + $19 for origional wow, now fast forward to NEXT november when their 2nd expansion comes out and you have to pay $39 for it + say $19 for BC if it drops by then + (i'm being generous) $10 for origional WoW= $68. Now you throw in all the free content in between eq2 expansions and it is a pretty dam good deal.
