Re: EOF nda lifted.
My EOF Beta Experience:
Been in since the start, at this point imho 2 weeks from relese the Class AA's, 2 Tradeskills and Raid Content, needs MAJOR tuning/Revamps still. Most of the Class Specific AA's are pretty lame/useless/underpowered and Estate of Unrest is going to be patched in after Release as stated by devs as it is not finished yet.
T7 Raid Content is severely lacking in Difficulty/Progression and I haven't even seen the Itemization yet but they have NEVER gotten it right in any expansion, every previous expansion has had it's raid loot itemized and reitemized after the fact (DoF and Kos) to be honest, I'm not sure why the Item Gal (anyksis) is even still working their, her work seems to reek of someone who doesn't play the game at any serious level itemizing raid bosses.
But I digress, EoF has a TON Of awesome things for the Newer players, 1-69 is mindblowing, the zones and art direction and music are amazing, Cloaks are awesome, New Horses are nice and their are a ton of other cool things.
I just worry for the High End Level 70 Players Raids and AA's are all bleh and don't look to be done correctly or with much balance and tuning in mind.
Finally, as much as I love EQ2 and Tout it as awesome,
Let it be known that the Class Hats from Kingdom of Sky Expansion are STILL unfinished 9 months later and 1 expansion later. Promised Features left unfinished for months, the whole thing reeks of frogloks, plane of mischeif, PoP, Rathe Council etc...

Re: EOF nda lifted.
Wizard AA's are bullshit, whereas Necro AA's are mindblowing. But wizards got a few last-minute changes to help make up the difference.
Proc system changed, so all the spell proc items under 10% are now kicking ass. Bracelet of Thule is a must-have FINALLY. Fitzpitzle's Misty Protector was nerfed by half. Dual Rings of Supremacy are collectively the top proc'ing item now.
Set armor is legendary and looted from heroic instances; it suits the almost-raiders crowd pretty nicely.
New horse animations are to die for. GL60 mount reward is cool but not worthy of being the premiere status item of a level 60 guild.

Re: EOF nda lifted.
Haven't seen much yet, but some lower level things I noticed.
Standard field/trash mobs for quests and general population in zones is severely lacking. Had 1 quest that required me to kill 8 of a specific mob. Logged in my 70 Troubador to track them, scoured the entire zone, foudn 3, waited out respawn, there were only 3 in the entire zone. Similar problem with other "kill this many mob" quests, will be a nightmare with everyone creating noob Fae's on release and there being no mobs for anyone to kill.
There is at this time no betrayal quest for Fae. They are alligned with Qeynos, the Qeynos betrayal guy does nothing when hailed from a Fae. Scouring the beta boards there is next to no talk about it at all, but there definately is no way for Fae to betray to Freeport so far. I am doubting it will be in for release.
Everything I read up to actually getting in and seeing beta said that Kelethin would be neutral to both Qeynos and Freeport citizens. It's not. Freeportians are attacked by guards and the merchants I tried to talk to would not sell or buy from me.
Was looking forward to a Fae Necro or Defiler. Guess I will roll a goodie race or wait for betrayal to be put in, if it actually happens at some point.
Zones do look awesome. Seems to run better on higher quality settings then I was using on live game. Fae creation has alot of detail and alot of wing customization, colors etc.
/dance animation for Fae is new. Although fruity, it is still better then the horrible dance animation we have been stuck with since Nov 2004.
The new mob models I have seen look nice. Crushbone orcs look awesome and blue.
They Fae racial "glide" is nice. Still feels strange to have safe fall on a Paladin and a Wizard though.
It seems to me that alot of areas I would think would give discovery xp do not. Hoping this is fixed before release. I got next to no discovery xp in Greater Faydark and only 1 discovery in Lower Faydark so far.
Umpteen million collection quests were added. From teh few I have started so far it looks like alot of them are pieces that could be used in multiple collections varying in levels.
They have added more periodically but there are still not enough harvesting nodes to support the zones when they go live.

Re: EOF nda lifted.
EoF raiding is garbage, there is 4 instances that take less then an hour to clear. One is about the size of DT with out walls, that's the biggest.
Avatar contested which are ok, but I was really looking forward to some zones that take like 3-6 hours to clear to unlock the hardcore zones that are mad tough, but none of this is in EoF.
Expect every thing to be beat in a month of release.
IMO raiding is a major failure in EoF, they focus on the 1-69 crowd way to much.
Oh and all of the AA's suck, all they do is upgrade your spells back from the nerf that comes with EoF.
