Wasn't sure where to put this, but if I get the hardcopy of RoK tommorow, uninstall eof/kos/dof, then install everything on the RoK discs (or all in one pack, whatever they want to call it) would I be up to date? Would anything go horribly wrong? I'm guessing no. Can't hurt to ask.

welllll, I think it'd actually make your patch longer: you can simply install ROK files + any adventure pack files off the disc, and patch as usual: this will fill in/repatch any necessary files from that point on.
Before running patcher you have to register the key to your account to enable RoK content.

Yeah, it's more for the sake of having everything installed in one neat directory.

Doesn't make a difference; all the files end up in the same place (well, except for the launchpad stuff, but that's different). Only thing that could be different is starting from scratch you might end up with less file fragmentation, but a good defrag would take care of that.
