Ok, huh? (Patching twice?)

I spend 4 hours patching, get into the game and play for about 3 hours, then I log out to see if theres anything new on eq2maps, I boot up the launcher and now its telling me I have another 6 hours of patching to do, even though I was in the game just fine literally 10 minutes ago. Rebooting the patcher and unchecking everything in preferences didn't work.

same problem - only i patched this afternoon. ran out to ups because those assholes didnt ring by doorbell but left the sticker on the window, to get the rok install disks. and then ran home, installed, and guess what. yeah..6hrs patch. and then guess what. yeah...2hrs patch...and then guess what...profitui patch...eqmap patch...and then guess what...i went to bed.

Dunno what's up, I patched it at about 11am pacific and haven't had to patch since.

Yes... both bars are full, and yes, it says 4 hours remaining.

EDIT: I restarted the patcher and it started over again with 5 hours remaining.

I had to patch twice too.
I got my box, came home, installed, patched for two hours, logged in to my UI all buggered because I forgot to update it, logged out, remembered to register my expansion, spent 30 minutes trying to get eq2interface to load, and then gave up and loaded the patcher for another two hour patch.

Yeah...I was livid. I had wanted to play before I went to work until 1AM.....no such luck.

Pre-Order RoK through Fileplanet, patch game by noon, sit with thumb in ass waiting to be allowed to download RoK from fileplanet.

2 hours later....finally allowed to download it only to find out its 9gigs and for some reason my cable connection is running at 20k for 5 minutes then back to 500k for 2 min so on and so forth.... complete after 9 hours only to find out i have to unzip and install, run out of HD space, throw wrong file in recycle bin..oh wait...too big so it removed it completely.... re download a gig of RoK from fileplanet

/wrists finally i think i got it....hmm guess i was wrong....3rd file is corrupt (4gigs) what the FUCK?! wont unzip....fuck this activate Xpack on eq2 official site run patcher....

FINALLY! 2 hours later i have 15 minutes left and i think i got it done....btw fuck Fileplanet for not having a goddamn customer service person who knows wtf is up, and Fuck me for assuming SoE would botch a pre order download so instead i wasted 12 hours of launch just to get in to the fucking game, so who wants my cdkey cause if this doesnt work i quit

Ok, so I finished the THIRD patch overnight, and now its patching again with an estimated time remaining of 8 hours 41 minutes.

I checked the size of the eq2 folder lastnight, 29.4gb, current size: 29.4gb. So its not actually downloading any fucking thing, its just replacing everything over and over again. I have no idea what the hell could be causing this idiocy, I was JUST playing the game lastnight just fine.

i patched yesterday for 3 hours today first time for 3 hours second time today says ETA 9 hours /wrists

Yeah... mine tries to patch every time I boot it up. If you've already patched once before, just run Everquest2.exe

The patcher is fucked up and is wrong, skipping it and just running the game directly works fine.

I'm not sure what to do when the next patch comes though, if its not fixed by then for those of us having this issue.
