the buttons are not clickable till the mob is at 30% health. they are the big round spikes under each machine tube.
Really hard to miss, but i still say they should add an emote or some kind, at least xelgoz gloating that he is invincible, fight just seems really bland right now.
Or even better, have him gloat AND teleport back to the middle of the room to be healed. So anyone not familar with the fight figures out then and their you need to fight him in the room. you know, as all the adds you didn't clear are suddenly come charging you.

Wow...they put in one encounter that forces players to figure something out for themselves (and not for nothing, but I felt it was WAY to easy to get to the bottom of THAT mystery) and people are bitching that "this is too hard...waa...make it easier!". Were the glowing green waves shooting out of the room and hitting the mob while it healed not enough? SOE, please put more encounters in that are similar to this and require more then just "hit mob. wait for emote. hit mob more". More loot for those of us competent enough to connect the dots...

Concept of loot has always boggled me. The loot is the driving force that makes players put up with timesinks in the game ........... be it camping a named or clearing trash for a raid mob, that hope of loot will drive people to all kinds of ends.
In about a month all the " good " places will be widely known and we will all be back to grinding the same instances over and over hoping for that piece of loot we need from that certain area.
Using kendrickes favorite word, why do we feel entitled to loot off certain mobs ( nameds )? We all constantly beg for better loot tables and such but really what makes it " better "? More stats, diff procs, delay, nit pick all ya want on this but its the " always wanting more " mentality.
So what if some mobs dont drop loot, be them named or not. The loot it did drop would probally be considered shit anyways since its not a fabled or its lower in the grouping tier and most people would skip it anyways. Things could drop those aviak tallons for all i care, those at least land me some quick vendor gold for ts raws. I would bet the legendary item dropped off mob of that tier of grouping would sell for less then a looted curiosity treasure anyways.

We were doing the quest line in te castle so we were running up and down killing Commander, Jailer and healing guy the whole time. Jailer dropped nothing 4 times, treasured once and last time was Legendary Bow with 30STR 30 AGI some health , power and +5 defense. Very nice for me as a tank who only needs bow for pulling.
Commander dropped the upgrade for Berserker Insolent Gibe. Forget the name. Other times was either wood or nothing
Healing named drepped a plate chest piece twice , plate feet twice, a wrist item with nice all around stats and +2 double attack. He also dropped a different item later for a guildy but I missed what it was. Suffice to say, this guy ALWAYS drops loot which makes sense since you have to do more to kill him ie clear all the crap around him and figure out the balatently obvious script.
