Why the fuck do I have to download for an hour again. I installed RoK, downloaded everything, got in game, went to KP. Upon zoning in my entire screen goes black, so I exit. I load up EQ2 again and here I am, downloading, again.

Worst fucking launch ever.

Use Everquest2.exe instead of EQ2.exe

It bypasses the launcher and takes you straight into the game, where you can log in.

If you have already patched, and been able to log on through the patcher since yesterday 1pm PST, then you've already got the files and the patcher is just plain retarded. Theres a handful of us with the same issue. Everquest2.exe works for getting into game. Temporary fix as I assume we'll have to patch for like 10 hours again when the next update comes.

im currently installing the expansion from the DVDs they gave me with the hard copy, the fucking game looks like it is installing the ENTIRE game (paks/qey_north.vpk?????). shoulda just downloaded it like i did at my buddies house since his DVD drive died
