I think this is brilliant, when everyone has 200 plat in thier bank who is gonna want to buy from an RMT? They won't be able to make enough money to make the buisness worthwhile. They will slowly phase out because everyone will have more plat. They will have to lower their prices signifigantly and in turn make themselves obsolete. Brilliant. How do ya fix a slow economy? Ya give everyone tons of money and tell em to have fun! hehe

Maybe this will be a fix to all the poor ass apps we get. I just don't understand how anyone can be broke in this game. I get a guild spilt from all the money we make selling excess gear. If i did not it has never taken me more then a couple hours to generate 2-3 plat farming solo and i am far from best soloing class.

now if they only would add (spell) materials again to epics, several a drop (like it was in t5) it will all be good again :P, screw paying 10p+ for a loam =/

and yes ballads, i know most people can make several plat quite fast, but some just are to lazy for that (just like me :P)

When we had a recruit from another server come over I asked if there was some missing masters there. Sure enough there was and I had to borrow 50 plat from the guild. Had to be paid back in a month and I did it in a week and a half.

The term "Farming Mad Platz" became something everyone knew I did before/after raids.

If you're not lazy making money is easy, in RoK the quests give a great amount of cash, so go out and everQUEST.

It won't be a fix, if you set it to leader-only plat and just put it into the guild bank to go with the next plat split.

Throwing it into the bank wouldn't add any psychological value to this design change, it'd be like looting another trash item that got sold on the broker. No, it has to be dispersed automatically, on the spot. It'd be like the raid leader rewarding people for attendance (or covering their repairs leading up to the fight), except the game is the one paying out.

EDIT: Not saying the game has to force it automatically, but it would be better for raid leaders to let the money split on loot.

It wouldn't make a difference whether it was split on the spot or put into the GB for the split, most HC raid guilds roll with a roster of like 30 max, so chances are everyone that was on that raid will get their fair share anyway. Not to mention, you probably don't want some recruit joining and completely sucking but walking away with 50 plat.

Lot of costs go into raiding and if you aren't making cash this is a great way to keep the supply and demand of products in your guild. Shit masters are high on the broker and getting plat to drop in a chest helps guilds buy masters they need and let's the people that can't kill the epics make cash.

Yep, to stop plat farmers, I'm beginning to think that was a huge agenda for this expansion. Look at the quality of the loot, making some raid gear get retired from your toons after a few Fens quests...crazy (not too sure I like that yet either, raiders should be equipped better than soloers, it's just a fact... the raid/named drops better be outrageous in this expansion).

Anyways, the gear that is No-Trade from the solo quests sells decent on the merchants, and add that to that dozens of quests that reward in the 15-25g range, and you're seeing everyone on the server suddenly have a nice plat stash (but will most likely see prices sky-rocket when everyone realizes this).

This would certainly make plat farmers have to stop and think over their strategy, but really not for too long. Like I said, once the prices go up in reaction to all this, they will be back in business I'm sure. At least they found a fix for the tell-spammers.
