I can name at least three ppl on crushbone that are exploiting this straight off the top of my head...as one of them got ripped pretty good in 70 79 chat for constantly trying to sell silicate loam..and I later found him in the spider caves for more than an hour harvesting...and he's a fighter. made me go hmmm.....I ran through did the quest and finished it....then went off to harvest elsewhere. Oh yeah to said plat farmer...I got a rare last night on a node right next to the dock in Kylong...and it was a silicate loam ha! and I managed another right out from under said person in the cave while I was in there too. Hehe.

I go and harvest in the yeti caves and other aggro places just so I get some xp while I harvest...as others have said...it breaks up the monotony and I for one would rather not get banned for this stupid exploit. Yah after seeing the ppl in there constantly using this disguise...and having it being the same ppl over and over and over....I want to see SOE fix it so that the mask is temporary and lasts maybe 15 minutes top. That is really all you need to run through there and get the stupid update.

Yeah, this is getting pretty irritating. And IMO not working as intended, I doubt they spend time to design these quests for people to not turn in so they can harvest.

Nah SOE did a shitty job as to get into beta THIS time you had to be in a top few raid guild or buy some crap magazine. They could easily fix this like they did the muting bug and the collection pet, yet they haven't.

Yeah except that I was invited after the people that bought the magazine that gave you access to the beta, and never got my character transfered over either. If they really wanted testers they would invite long standing players as a pririoty, not the ones that bought access.

No, I see fine how it can be used in ways that aren't intended, but I still don't give a shit. If it can be harvested by people who are 79 and 80 anyway, it doesn't bug me. It can be done without the illusion after leveling. If no one else could harvest the items without agro, I'd probably feel differently.

Worst case scenario for my game play is that rares are cheaper if I ever need one for something. If it bugs people that they do it, they can level up to 79 and go in themselves in "Yourself illusion" is kind of the way I see it.

The thing is not everyone is going to grind to 80, by these people doing this at low levels they are driving down the price for the people who earned their lvl 80 and no aggro, or the people who dont abuse an exploit and are trying to make honest cash. I sure as hell dont want to pay 5p+ per loam, but that doesnt mean I will support the people driving down the market either.

The people that are 80 have EARNED the right to harvest in some areas without aggro... that is an honest game mechanic... 11 levels above the mob, no aggro! That is how the game is designed. It was not designed to allow those that the mobs would aggro without the illusion to harvest forever sans aggro. You know it, I know it... everybody here knows it is a fucking exploit. If you are 80, the mobs don;t aggro... they aren't supposed to. Below 79 or 80 the spiders SHOULD aggro. Yes, you can invis to them, but invis breaks when you harvest, so that is a bullshit argument. The illusion gives anyone who has it below 79 unmolested harvesting for one hour, then click, go for another hour.

Just because you are benefiting from cheaper rares doesn't make it right. If anything, it speaks to your lack of character that you are willing to turn a blind eye if you personally stand to benefit from an exploit.
