Yup they did but a large portion of the spots got given to the reasons i listed. Thus skewing the beta community from ppl that gave a shit to the "oh look ma, im in beta' crowd - raiders notwithstanding

They did only 1 small difference between this beta and last. They let people buy a Magazine to get in. Other than that, there was no difference.

just make the illusion cancel when someone harvests a node. seems like a pretty easy fix to me.

To be fair i can see both sides, yeh who cares if you are leveling and doing the occasional bit of harvesting, because when you hit 80 it'll be trivial anyways, but on Guk now there are 5/6 level 66 toons (Ojimia, Wagnok etc (bots)) harvesting in those caves ALL night, so in that way its bad.

Let them harvest all night - That way when I log on in the morning there is loads of raws at a cheap price. Supply and demand ftw!

I think the people that are saying it's ok for others to do this so the rares are cheaper are worse then those doing it. Are you that cheap that you would allow others exploiting, then buy the exploited rares from them and not care? I'm starting to wonder about the people in this game. I mean I thought WOW was where all the little kids were, but it's starting to seem like EQ2 is full of them also. You keep saying "oh when you're 80 you can do it aggro free anyway," if that is the case then let these cheating exploiters get to 80 before they harvest aggro free. It's obviously an exploit if you can use a quest item to harvest nodes and get rares without getting aggro from nearby mobs, PERIOD! Screw all the people saying we're jumping on the exploit bandwagon, just because people don't want to be called out doesn't mean we are going to stop now. I hope all the rares get taken from people using this exploit.

The problem is many of these rares have been purchased and made into adept 3s or jewelry already... kind of hard to take them back unless they want to reverse a whole lot of transactions. Imagine logging in to see your coin back, but your new spell unscribed... or the crafter who made the spell is out the coin. Just not feasible. I do not buy from people that I suspect are farmers, but the problem here is known players are doing this and many people are no doubt unwittingly buying rares harvested via the exploit. Otherwise, I think your post is spot on and I agree 100%. Says a lot that people will ignore cheating if they stand to benefit from it.

If Sony's policies were more harsh, there would be no worries about buying from "exploiters" or "farmers".

Double-edged blade.

I will buy from whomever I want, when I want, because I need the spells and I need them now. I don't do a background check for the people I buy from in an MMO. If it was an issue, this would no longer be in game. The mobs in question are mostly gray, so the point is moot regardless.

Dead topic.

I'll treat this against plat pharmers the way I treated MOA3. Every last one who uses this method, hunted down and destroyed.
