Word from guilds beta testing raid encounters is that the entire known expansion will be dead by day 2-3, max.
There is no built in 3 to 4 week delay based on leveling this time. The gear dropping is not much better, if at all, than what we already have. There is no barrier to clearing every EoF raid instance on the first day.
From what I understand, there will be a few day delay on contested dieties at MOST.

I believe you are talking about Deathtoll.
That zone has quested access. Two of the four dragons needed to complete the quest were bugged initially, so the quest quite literally could not be completed. That was the reason for delay in KoS, and the fact that people needed to level and upgrade their gear before they were able to kill that new content.
Those barriers don't exist in EoF. World wide firsts will have no meaning, because everything will die the first week. Then we will all look around at each other and say, "what next?" "What do you mean there is nine more months until the next expansion?"

That could very well be it. I just remembered a couple of Dev's kinda chuckling 'cause peopel were complaining the actual encounter was too hard.
I sincerely hope y'all are wrong and the raiding content is challenging enough to keep you occupied for a while.

My information is from players who've beta tested this content. Each of them believes that all content intended for level capped players will be clearable in one day per week, or two at most.
Based on that, some of them are now deciding between WoW and Vanguard.

Re: All Level 70 Players Should Boycott the EoF Expansion
My biggest problem with the current raiding situation is gear. The difference between a (Matron killing guild) scout's gear and a (can't clear labs guild) scout's gear is amazingly small. Maybe my guild is just extremely unlucky when it comes to scout gear, I dunno.
I have no doubt that the best gear will come from the easiest raid zone, so even if there are difficult raid zones, the loot will be subpar.

Re: All Level 70 Players Should Boycott the EoF Expansion
From my impressions so far from the raids i've been to is that there will not be many additional hours to raid with the new content once you figure out all the zones. Freethinkers Hideout will be clearable in 1 hour. Emerald Halls would take maybe around 2 hours i guess once you figure out the most effective route around all the trash mobs. Haven't been inside the Clockwork factory yet, but i hear its a zone similar to Chel'drak just easier, so one hour tops on that zone. Got no idea about the Castle Mistmoore raidzone, but i can't imagine its largely different from the other zones i've seen so far. Thats just my very rough impression of the content so far, but i'm pretty sure instanced content will not add significant hours to top worldwide raid guilds raid schedules. But hey i could be totally wrong ofc, and there could be more content then what ive seen so far, but i doubt it tbh.

Re: All Level 70 Players Should Boycott the EoF Expansion
LFG, I understand your whole "three strikes and your out" mentality, but I honestly believe people that are threatening boycotting already are jumping the gun a little. SOE is not stupid, and if there is a general consensus (especially from dev-connected people such as yourself and Calthine for example) that high end raiding really isn't up to scratch, you can bet they'll start adding instances faster than a mexican jumping bean...jumps (take Halls of Seeing and Lyceum for example). Even talking about leaving before the expansion is released is a little premature in my opinion, let alone actually doing it.
I think I'll give it a couple of months at least before I even begin to evaluate current, and projected content for SOE and it's future.
Overall, I really hope and believe SOE will realease an expanion raiders will love, even if it might take a month or so to get the *rest* of the T7 raid zones out. If not, I will be sad to see so many members that put a lot into the community go. Only if EOF completely sucks balls will I consider quitting, and only when I *KNOW* EQ2 has no chance, prospect or hope for the future.
