GM's are FUCKING MORONS

i made this post on eq2players and since they will either delete it, ban my account, or ban me from the boards, or lock it or something im posting it here:

My guild went after pantrilla today and a rival guild trained down there and trained mobs on us and wiped us in midfight and then pulled the mob and killed it. So obviously we petition because.... u shouldnt be able to do that and the GM tells us the following: lock your encounters...

LOCK YOUR ENCOUNTERS??!?!?!?!

THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!! if another guild trains mobs on you and does not attack the mobs at all then all you have to do is PBAOE the mobs and you get them... no matter what. I am not so much mad about the dumbass guild that had to train down there as much as the STUPIDITY of the GM and I think if sony wants to be respected AT ALL by anyone in the future you should TEACH YOUR FUCKING GAME MASTERS THE SCHEMATICS OF THE FUCKING GAME BEFORE YOU SEND THEM TO MAKE DUMBASS DECISIONS.

PLEASE!!!!! find out who made this decision and fire them... they shouldnt be doing this job if they cant tell the difference between being trained and pbaoeing... im sorry but thats stupid.

I guess the GMs handle petitions in every SoE game. The mechanics in all these games is completely different. In EQ, you could mez park a mob next to someone, mem blur it, then the mob would attack that person when rez broke. They apparently don't understand that isn't the situation in EQ2.

They also GM Planetside, Star Wars . . .

Last time I checked, the GM's that send you a tell for a petition have a CS_Live.EQII.NAME looking name. THat looks like a fake Pinski.

I can't imagine they would give someone a GM job without at least one day spent playing the game.

With one day played, I understood game mechanics about encounter locking/breaking, the sort of thing Calaglin posted above.

no, plenty of GM's have avatars on servers

also, ive met with plenty of more than competent GM's, but some do seem to know way too little about the game

Remind me of a time one of our Conjuror's spawned the Matron event on our rival guild a GM shows up ports him to CL and bans him for using an aggro transfer to have the Overseer attack them. He obviously had no clue what was going on.
