Default Betrayal questline

How difficult/tedious is it to do the betrayal thing? I'd like to be a Sarnak and be on the Good side after since my friend wants to be good.

Betraying isn't too bad really. It took me about 3 hours total to finish my betrayal... There's a quest in freeport that makes it easy to get Qeynos faction - you can read all about them at Main Page - EQ2i.

I just finished my Sarnak betrayal last night..

Let me tell you.. It was easy in the aspect of actually DOING it but on a PVP server when your fair game as exile to both factions, at any level, the actually DOING part of it is where the frustration comes in.

Many hours of back tracking to get enough faction to be amiable to your new city takes time even doing the 5k quests. You need to first work off -50k of bad faction towards the city your going towards then +10k to make the guards non-aggro.

Once you've done that, you must do a few other small quests to gain citizenship. Again all in all it's easy but I must say on PVP server's everyone who's ever betrayed will find you and will kill you; repeatedly.

It's not something you just do on a whim but it was fun after the fact. Even going back and sending tell's to those who kept ganking me for no good reason other to do so often stated they were doing it `just because` and that they also had done betrayal earlier and fell the same fate. Think of it as a hazing ritual you must go through only because everyone else had the same situation in the past.

Aftwards it's a good feeling to have finally accomplished but not for easily discouraged.
