God forbid they actually hire someone who isn't brainwashed into listenting to 1% of their customers.

~fuck off if you think that we are only going to pay attention to high end raiders who level up in 3 days~

~fuck off if you think we are going to keep putting out shit that we have to nerf later just to fit a deadline~
~fuck off if you want to keep your low population servers so you don't have competition~
~fuck off if you think we aren't going to start advertising~
Personally I am happy to see him go, get the fuck out and don't let the door hit you or your shitty group hit you on the ass when it slams.
EQ2 has constantly slid down hill since it was released, and even then it was nothing compared to the game EQ1 had been. Sure it had pretty graphics, sure it had pretty noises. BUT WHAT THE FUCK ABOUT THE
GAME.
It's been fucked with over and over and over to the point that half the classes are not what they said they would be, half the people who started playing it are gone, it still doesn't attract enough new players to make up for those that leave and over all is starting to honestly suck.
He lead a crew of developers that gave players stuff only to take it away or fuck it up later. They have changed classes so much that there is no fucking reason to have so many classes any more and still they fuck with them.
They have fucked with experience time and time again, nearly every expansion. Oh hey, lets get our 1% of our little star crowd bitches to the next level cap then bust everyones ass with less exp.
They have raid mobs that are SOOO easy that people have nearly completed them in less then a month, then as history has shown they will continue to fuck with them until a vast majority of people will never complete them, let alone see them.
Shit they can't even understand the fucking concept of 3D fucking programming. EQ1 came out over 8 years ago and shit STILLwalks through walls, the floor and god knows what else. If a fucking programmer can't fix it, have the balls to fire them and get someone who can!
Smedly, besides the fact that you should have been fired long ago, don't be more of a dumbass and hire some idiot that has no fucking clue how to program something that WORKS. If you are going to hire someone outside, maybe you should look at Blizzard. No I don't want a fucking copy of WoW, but lets see, how about someone who gets basic concepts like this -
- Write it RIGHT the first time!
- ADVERTISE so more people play!
- Why are people still playing EQ1?
- Why is WoW played by 6 times as many people?
- What did EQ do right that EQ2 is doing wrong?
- God forbid that you right something that doesn't need a fucking super computer to be played. *ever wonder why mroe people play WoW? Maybe its because their computers won't play EQ2.
- How about some fucking balance in the game for once, either fix classes or eliminate them and go back to the 4 archetypes.
- Stop wasting time by continually tweaking, get it right the first time.
Honestly, I don't want them to hire someone inside, its time for new blood. Someone who will say, HEY DUMBASS, just because you like to play a bruiser doesn't mean you make them into the best fucking solo machine in the game. Just because you like playing a paladin doesn't mean that you tweak them until they are better then any other class.
No fucking favoritism, NONE. If people don't like it, they can fuck off!
The existing team might be good at what they do, but what they are doing is ALL WRONG. They need fresh blood to shape them up or ship their asses out the door.
Oh yeah and Smedley, how about you hire someone that actually communicates with EVERYONE, not just his buddies or the ~special~ people in the game. Someone who spends a large portion of their time reading what the players are saying. In the forums, in the chat, everywhere!!!
Oh yeah and make sure the dumbass can stay on track, if we wanted a fucking
POKEMON card game in the game, we would have fucking asked for it. Get a fucking clue, we come to kill, to quest, to group, to guild, not fucking play
pokemon and deal with SPAMMED messages all the time.
