Problem started in EoF with Avatars and top raiding guilds farming them. That gear was too good for it's tier and only a very small portion of the Eq2 gamers actually had access to it. Now with the new expansion, the games content has to be rebalanced so that everyone who pays Sony to play the game can enjoy it. Also why much of the content is so easy for those guilds.

If RoK was made to the Avatar-geared guilds, then the rest of the population would find the game impossible and quit. If they quit, then Sony losses money or they charge 100's dollars a month just to play to cover there costs. Sorry the game wasn't tailor-made for you, but thats what happens to leet-players in a new expansion of any game. Your going to blow through the content and find that it isn't progressive cause your gear is already matched for the content.

Probably the reason why good loot is dropping from instances now so that the game can be rebalanced faster. If it was just from raids then those raids would be a even more difficult leaving the raiding content again only in the hands of the elite raiders.

Sucks to hear most of the content can be cleared in a few hours, and most only contain 1 named but I think thats another intent of rebalancing. 1 Named equals 1-2 good pieces of gear every 5 days. Which if Veeshan is hard to clear and requires full-RoK or similar, it's going to take longer to get 24 people geared out to complete the end game content. That's progression. No means is it perfect but I think the game is being rebalanced simply because some of the EoF gear (particularly Avatar loot) has caused balance issues in the new expansion.

BTW has all the content been cleared? Even when it does the elite guilds will do to much faster than everyone else and will be the first to complain about lack of content. To be frank, your a small percent of the population that plays and Sony isn't going to please you and fuck over everyone else.

The RoK raid content is harder than KoS and EoF with their scripting. It isn't all just burn burn burn now. It isn't rocket science either, and a group of 24 raiders than can tie their shoes without duct tape should be able to clear this stuff after a little work. T3 is broken so that doesn't count, but T1 and T2 are just hard enough that noobs will hamper your progress.

HAHA too easy, from reading this thread the hardest thing about raiding in RoK is keeping the servers up long enough not to get fucked out of your zone.

BTW, what would I know, I haven't raided a damned thing cause this expansion pretty much ruined the fucking game for me. Its pretty and there is lots of content to it, but the social factor is gone other then making fun of Jaraxx and crew.

Do I intend to raid it, nope. At current rate I doubt I will spend the time leveling the other 3 level 70s I have to 80. 10 fucking levels of soloing is enough for me, if I wanted to do that, I would have turned on the fucking Xbox.

Ok listen up.

First of all Avatars gear doesn't help all that much - it does - but it's not going to make or break any encounter.

Second - SoE has never and will never make content satisfying for the endgame raiders. People who care about succeeding to the absolute fullest extent in this game. There just isn't enough of us for them to justify making enough and challenging content for us. They are always going to go supply content for the casual player and in all honesty they have succeded 100x over with that in this expansion.

Third - It's life - not live, Mr. Attorney.

Fourth - Don't judge the hardcore players. You don't know anything about our real lifes. You have no clue what we are like. Are there players out there that sleep/breathe/think Everquest II? Yes there are some but not many. The bottom line is the thing that separates us from the casual player is our goals. Our goals are simple, to dominate the game. We don't log on and cyber with our buddies. We don't log on and do heroic quests. When we log in we are all about business. Getting the content done as fast as possible and getting out.

Most of us play this game for fun. Doesn't matter if it's doing grey quests or killing mobs first in the game. Whatever makes you enjoy the game go out and do it.

I'm just sick and tired of people coming in here and acting all high and mighty and making claims about their real lifes and making assumptions of others. To make such ignornant/arrogant claims is truly sad and pathetic.

I don't agree about avatar gear only making a small difference, gear is atleast as important as skill is for killing things, but we've had this arguement before.

I think we can safely say that the T3 zones need a few shots of steroids.
