Ah okay it was three months. T5 was forever ago, sorry :P I also never really count Ardent's first Darathar kill because they got zoned into the instance by a dev when it was broken and other guilds were stuck at that part.

So, since EQ2 began, it seems like most shit has died within three months of launch. Two to three, anyway.

I can't comment much on DMP as I didn't kill it in T6, however I'm fairly sure the difficulty lied in the rooting of the mob, the instruments and their placements and the KB, moreso than the tanks gear.

However I suppose if you had the rooting down pat, the instruments down pat, the songs down pat and shit, then your tank having less than ideal could pose a problem... lol.

I won't argue or not if you would of been able to kill it with t5 gear on at level 60 but considering how the encounter is designed I would assume you could. Although people who killed in T6 (Which was not very many) would be able to answer that, but my guess is yes they could. However your argument isn't even logical.

The difficulty in T1 and T2 is fine. The difficulty in T3 is a joke, VP so far has been proven to not be as difficult as I would of liked since we cleared 5 nameds with 18-20 people and without rogues. One of the encounters also appears to be buggy. As far as the rest of VP - I hope it get's more challenging - the trash mobs sure do. Named are getting a little tougher. But the first part of it (first 4 names) were pretty much a joke.

See and I agree with this. T3 should be ramped up (ffs the trash are harder than the named), and VP should be a bitch every fucking named. I realize its sectioned off into "wings" and the first wing will of course be easier, but it should be relative difficulty compared to VP itself, not to other named, and therefore even the first wing should be hard. I'll be disappointed if it takes less than a month for a guild to get to Trak and less than a few weeks after that for the guild to kill him.

However, this is EQ2, and generally shit always falls on the wrong side of difficult.

Just had our first raid in Veeshan's. Wow. What a zone.

All I can say is... LARGE, but the persistant and the fact t1/2/3 is doable in 1-2 days allowing the rest of the week for VP.

Only killed Kluzen, and was attempting Ekron. This is where it started to go pair-shaped, people got bored of the running all the way back , sure horses are useable, but some Sokokar stations for the length of the instance being open might be an idea, then having to re-flag them next visit and the visit after and so on, kinda like a "save point", rather than running for 5-8mins.

Overall though, I like the zone, it'll definately keep us interested for a while

DMP was only hard because it was bugged and DM would fly and do all sorts of wierd Z axis shit making him impossible to root in the middle, also his ae was slightly toned down cause it would one shot half the raid.


He was beat like 1.5 weeks after the patch to make him doable. and by 4 Guilds withint 3 weeks.

Also you needed pretty good gear for your tank, unless you pulled an absolute flawless run you couldnt keep him rooted for all 4 verses since you had to kill 4 waves of adds, place 4 sets of instruments and play 4 verses all in 4 minutes. We got pretty good to the point where the last verse would hit just as his root ran out, but for the remaining 25% you had to burn him he still needed to be tanked somewhat and he hit like a fucking train.

khalan hit it dead on for DMP....was still a bitch with pretty much full T6 fabled. Things had to go perfect on that fight for the most part. And there was ALWAYS one person that would fuck up one of the roots.

Also an even more obvious argument to make - Why are you comparing DMP the hardest mob in DoF to something people have seen in RoK? Tangrin is probably going to be one of the toughest mobs and I'm willing to bet Trakanon will be tougher then anything anyone has experienced yet (atleast in this tier).

Nobody compare DMP to anything idiot. My point is the hardest mob in the game should required leet skills and gears to beat. And you need the best t6 gear to even attempt DMP, if you walk in there with t5 gear you will get wax by the entrance mob.
