are RoK raids too easy?
I've got to preface this by saying: I don't mean to offend anybody or downgrade anybody's kills on these mobs.
but, come on. Are we (as a community) supposed to be almost done with RoK raid progression on the SECOND WEEK of raiding? I know VP is big, but it's also not as hard as you'd like to pretend. I did the the entire west wing on the last day of beta in a pickup raid. The big guilds are going to blow through it in no time. and what then? Trakanon? I can't believe he'll live very long.
and then what? contested? It appears that there are very few RoK contested, aside from avatars. Unless your guild really gets off on killing x2s. Is it SoE's desire to have 3 guilds per server sitting around camping avatars TWO MONTHS into the expansion?
It just seems like SoE vastly undertuned these raid zones. You don't seem to really NEED the gear from one zone to progression to the next. It's not progression raiding, it's just having a large menu of easy shit to raid.
okay, flame on about how your guild is special and how uniquely difficult protector's realm is.

No matter how hard the mobs are been made. Top end raid guilds who play this game w/o real life will kill all contents in 2 months anyways.

How is SOE suppose to determine the difficulty of the raid content, and the length of time needed to clear them?
Are they suppose to assume average raiding 5 days a week/4hours a day?
5 x 4 = 20 hours = part time job....
On top of that are they suppose to assume that all of ur guild has Pre-Expansion Fabled loot and Avatar gear?
Cause i cant imagine that any guild can clear all the mobs in ROK wearing just MC and legendary in 2 months. Raiding 3 days a week
What would you do if you were the game designers? (Dont answer if you are not gona answer it seriously)
Keep in mind you have to please the masses instead of just the select core of people.

I wouldn't say RoK raids are too easy. The hardcore guilds will always clear most of the content fast.
Generally any yellow con raid mobs is doable without the absolute best gear. And since all of t1 and t2 is yellow con mobs it was cleared right away by the better guilds.
The difficulty jumps once you get to the orange con mobs which is all of veeshans peek basically. Tanks in EoF fabled are currently getting owned in vp and they will need some upgrades to clear it.
There is a lot better feel of progression in RoK than any previous expansion, maybe they made tier 2 and 3 easy, but the difficulty jumped in t4 i can tell you that.

is it wierd that all the raid loot ive seen so far absolutely sucks compared to alot of the legendary quest and instance loot? i mean some of the raid loot is just absolutely terrible and unoriginal.

There is very small amounts of progression. But no it's totally fucked up. On the pace that we are we'll be done with the expansion within the month. It's not so much that it's too easy it's more of the fact that there is not enough. The amount of raids it takes to get to veesheans peak is 6. That's a fucking joke. I don't have a problem with the difficulty of those 6 mobs, they're fine, however there needs to be atleast one more mob in tier 2 and two in tier 3. At that point if you still get into vp within a month it's fucked up.
Edit: also yeh It also is probably too easy and if more guilds get off their lazy asses and apply themselves more guilds will get into VP and SoE will realize how badly they fucked up. It's just a matter of time. My guild decided get to VP ASAP, so we raided every night until very late to do so. We didn't have beta test the shit or have devs in our guild so we had to learn the shit ourselves. However it took us a bit of time to do it. We just put in alot of hours this week, I think Disso/SD/CL won'thave much of a problem getting into it after a week of raiding. However the rest - GL, it would be a good test for everyone.
Just don't judge the content unless you have experienced it and atm the only people who can really pass judgement on this current content is NPU and Strike since we are the only ones to have actually "killed it" so far. CL is getting close to Vp if not already in it.
All you guys can say is look they're already in there and it's been less then a week of raiding! Go out there, experience the content, beat it then pass judgement. Otherwise you are just judging the content on what 1-3 guilds have accomplished so far.
Anyways, from this post and my other post on the other thread here (Fate of Norrath) My Opinion is the content is too easy and there sure as hell needs to be more of it.

From what we experienced so far the mobs hit Hard. But the fact of the matter is Leethal we cleared the first area of Veeshan with 18-20 people without a single rogue in the raid and 5-6 priests. I mean I think we are doing very well with what we have but can you imagine how easy this is going to be next time we stroll around?
We can also only pass judgement on what we have seen so far in VP which is really only 1/3rd of it and really is probably less.
It should be tougher - it is the endgame raid zone. We're less then a week of raiding and we are in it. We should still be proud of our accomplishment Leethal because we were the first or second guild to get in there. We leveled the fastest - we got in there. However the content is still too easy.

always been the problem . Few guilds are so powerfull, well organized and stuffed that they can beat everything.
Cept by designing some very unbalanced zone, they will blow though it.
Now they have to decide when designing : 2 - 3 guilds only able to raid the zones, or more ? can semi-raiding or pickup or not ? only 40 or 60 peeps, or 200-300 ?
usual solution is the progression , some semi-easy zones, somes medium and one or two only doable by high end ones.
But may be, they should put a difficult choice system. Choosing normal/hard/impossible level, with accordingly loot level ? they would have to design multiple times the same zone, but that would content the different levels of raid forces may be...
