Default My personal Hell of a Bug....

Alright, so I'm trying to xp and get some more quests because I've had to make a 1000 mile move for work and I came into the expansion late.

I go to do some Outer Sebilis quests in the Kunzar jungle, and lo and behold, the whole damn floor is missing.

Here is what I've tried so far: I have uninstalled and re-installed EQ2, I have deleted every file named Kunzar, Jungle, Sebilis, and Outer, and re-downloaded them about 4 times now. I have completely re-downloaded all of my sound card, video card, and motherboard drivers, and double checked DirectX to make sure I'm running 9.0c as Sony suggests. Just as information, I have a Core 2 Quad processor, I'm running an NVidia 8800 GTX Graphics card, and Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card, in case that's useful information. SoE hasn't responded to my petition other than forward it to tech support, and they've been out for the Holiday Weekend.

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Here is why I cannot do quests or turn them in at Outer Sebilis:

A friend had this issue in Nek forest some months ago, I mailed him a DVD with all the eq2 files, save for the config, .ini, UI files, etc. and he just overwrited the ones he had solving the problem.

He used a digital download I think and he was using eq2 with 2 different client installation in the same folder, the english one for him and the french one for his brother (one of the two goes in a different subfolder, named "french" or something like that).

Corrupted files is pretty much the answer, if they are on your DVD or come from the download, try to get new ones from a friend if possible.

Here was the whole story: Missing world geometry.

I have done about 12 full file scans, I'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact that there's another kunzar jungle file and repeats of the others in my beta folder, going to try to delete those.

I've had a similar problem in butcherblock, sometimes the stairs up from the dock wouldn't "spawn" for 1-2 minutes after i zone in. Other times when I would take the griffin to Gfey the basic ground would disappear when I flew past Kaladim and not be there until long after i landed on the griffin tower.

If I waited 1-2 minutes everything went back to normal and it only happened once every 8-10 times I traveled threw the zone so I haven't searched for a real solution. I assumed it was due to my less then amazing hardware but that shouldn't be the cause of your problem.

I always delete any beta files directly after I move the ones I wanted to keep. I assume that you had 2 sets of files, one for beta and one for live, yeah? Problems between sets of files is known to occur, especially if you keep them on the same harddrive.

Nek Forest had this bug for me for the longest time. It was a game thing and I could just run through it.

I had this same problem in EQ1 in PoK, half the zone was missing. I could run on it, but couldn't see what I was on. Trippy. That was an issue of corrupt files.

Yeah, but with this one, when you run, you fall through the world, every time.
