Re: grind exp
Two key issues... To the EverQUEST crowd, the game in its various incarnations has been called Everquest for years, almost ten of them. When Everquest first shipped, it hardly had any of these solo tasks. What we have in RoK is a bunch of tasks and missions. Once we get past level 70, we stop banding up and questing for magical relics of yore and begin running errands for shopkeepers. This is not in line with the flavor that the Everquest franchise has given off in the past.
Secondly, people believe that solo questing is the only questing. In the past, there have been plenty of heroic quests, and as such, dungeons have provided XP from a combination of grinding, quests and discovery, much like solo questing. If one accepts that getting a group to run a dungeon is at least marginally harder and more time consuming than simply going somewhere and solo'ing, then surely, if the developers truly wish to support all types of play, as they continue to wax lyrical about, then the heroic content should provide a slightly better rate of XP gain.
