You are funny Panthera... really made me laugh...

You come here and offer zero input on the subject matter - the only thing you do offer is using your own experience to rebuke the sentiments others have about their own experiences, and with unsavory comments in an attempt to pass yourself off as smart.

It is a game - its a subjective concept - i.e. its not the same for anyone, and yet this is so lost in you that you accuse people left and right of generalizing. I do believe we are talking about the gaming experience, experience being the key word here.

What is even worse is that the moment someone offers you the same hand you offer, you get upset. There is a clear definition on that.

Go back to your classroom, grow up a bit and when you join the adult population you may understand, though I doubt it.

For my part I am neither interested in anything more you have to say, nor will I waste any more of my time on you, the point I made about the game and my concerns are shared with a lot of people across the eq2 boards and it is with them, that do feel affected that I am interested discussing those concerns with.

I hope the game remains enjoyable to you.

Some of us have talent. Others just whine on the forums about lack of solo content.

Sounds like you're not done?

And before you jump on me as well mwhym I read the whole post and I can understand both sides point of view. In my opinion it is still too early to tell. No there isn't the same amount of heroic content as T7, but T7 had 2 expansions in it. But as it stands there is a ton of solo content. Seems like there is enough right now to keep everyone occupied so I don't think this new expansion has broken (or will break) the game, yet.

I wouldn't jump on you because your opinion is different from mine, thats not the case above.

I don't disagree that T7 had 2 expansions, all I am saying is that in my view a game of this age should have introduced more heroic content. My main concern when I made this post was that I felt that there was a fundamental shift in game philosophy. I am in no way advocating for solo play, that was just one idiot's assumption.

For me - as it stands - I find the heroic content available to be limited, maybe they will add more maybe they wont, I cant tell what will happen. Past experience, yes, showed some (combat) content addition (unrest - sof), while unrest was great and in timely fashion (although by the account of many it should had been included in EoF) the addition of SoF was in my opinion very ill timed, because while it was a very nice instance it came too close to the launch of RoK (in essence adding top content to the previous tier only a short time before introducing the next tier).

While it may be too early too judge, personally I really think that the extreme ammounts of solo content can not keep most people occupied for too long.
Also after having done several instances several times, I am totally bewildered that almost everything that dropped was not an upgrade to stuff that came off some cakewalk quests. Again in my eyes its unreasonable that named mobs in an instance where you need a solid group to progress dropped (repeatedly) legendary stuff that is worse that treasured quested stuff you can solo with zero risk.

Solo content is a joke so far, and yes I would enjoy the opportunity of having the option of doing something challenging when I choose to solo. In all their flaws, or whatever else, KOS-EOF (and the FD pack) offered a more scaled approach.

I will stick to my opinion that I believe the way content is laid out in this expansion, it can become a problem, I hope it doesn't and I really hope I have just missed out on most of RoK's essence in this time frame and that it will keep me "happily" occupied for a year, I doubt it but I can not exclude the possibility.

Cheers

While I totally agree with you, in all honesty I wasn't expecting much from loot, because if there is something that EQ2 never did right, it was itemization. SoE can't grasp a concept like that and it shows in newbie zones, with loot coming from the new TD area being ten times better (and I'm not shooting numbers) than loot from any other 1-20 area.

Once you reach the level cap this become exponentially worse, but until they let clueless people doing loot with a "spreadsheet", this is what you're going to get and it's never going to get any better.

I won't go in details on proc gear, which I find pretty much retarded, but I can honestly say that whoever designed RoK progression path had only 1 thing in mind: raiding. It shows clearly and it's further confirmed by a dev (was it Gallenite?) saying something like "but in 2 weeks you'll be 80 and don't give a fuck anymore about levelling loot".

I think something is totally wrong if someone can even think like that. While I do respect who likes to raid, the majority of EQ2 population was not level 80 just 72 hours after release and a lot are still far from it, because they find utterly boring the solo questing.

I'll make it to 80 sooner or later if they make dungeon exp bearable, but I'm not gonna kill 1 more solo mob if not by accident, they can go to hell for what I care. Meanwhile I'll spend my time in some other game.
