Pre-Raid Prep
As I only raid with my Warlock, I'm curious to know what the other 23 classes out there go through to get ready to raid each day/week.
For a level 80 Warlock it's a matter of spending an hour or so in grey Runnyeye farming Nil Crystals until I have around 5-10 stacks of 99 so that I can cast all my spells during raid. Aside from that there is a quick trip to the broker making sure I have potions, drinks, repair kits, and then I'm ready to go.
I am most curious if there is any other class that needs an hour or so of prep work farming grey mobs so that they can parse/tank/heal/whatever.

Re: Pre-Raid Prep
Most of this doesn't really require a lot of farming or anything, but I need:
-9 kinds of poisons
-10 kinds of potions
-Tunare miracles, meaning I need to maintain faction (may switch gods soon, btw)
-2 kinds of temporary adornments
-Total stock of about 5k of different kinds of arrows (and I constantly summon more mid-raid)
-Food and drink, of course

[quote=Cheddar;351515]LOL thats nothing compared to the royal pain in the ass that a ranger has to go through.

Yea, everything you listed requires all of a minute of broker searching, or commmissioning a crafter to build it in advance... not sure how paying a crafter is more a pain in the ass than farming grey mobs... but I did expect Ranger to come in second place for prep work.

They had a problem, addressed it, and things changed for the better. Warlocks are in the same boat of needing a bad mechanic fixed. Envyous of Troubadors? Nah, I'm as happy as they are that PoTM was fixed. They seem to cast it more often now. Warlocks just need some attention, and Troubadors found a way to get it that works.
I'll amend the question. Aside from paying a crafter, what raid prep must you go through to achieve full potency on raids?

Re: Pre-Raid Prep
If I had to spend an hour prep'ing my class each day I would absolutely guaranteed be giving someone else my money each month.

As a defiler and SK, none. I agree Warlocks are getting screwed by this holdout hassle from the original release.
My SK used to require components that processed from fighting mobs to cast pets. They removed that requirement over a year ago, as I believe they did for most other classes also. Sounds to me like they forgot to remove yours, or didn't get around to it.

Re: Pre-Raid Prep
They need to remove it from coercers also, though for coercers it is more a problem of constantly destroying them. Either way they still need to go.

I don't know about you but! This is in no way comparable to warlocks but heres what I do. I run to nek forest to buy two heal clickies(which is obxious ) and ever couple days I have to craft a lot of +40 scrolls since I go threw them so fast. Also if you want to count buying the hundreds of crit pots and restocking potions and status items, I do that as well. I understand thats not a lot but its still something.
I know you really don't even care about this, because the point of this thread is obviously to get rid of nill crystals and not really what people do. Nil crystals and thought stones are pointless and should have never made it live.
