Default 6 Man config

A group of us are new to EQ2 but not MMO's, we'd like to come up with a good self-sufficient 6 man group for levelling up, able to run just about any one group content. Any feedback from experienced players would be greatly appreciated, this is what we're currently considering:

Guardian
Templar
Illusionist
Troubadour
Wizard
Conjuror

Based on initial research, it seems wizards and conjurors would have a lot of synergy and both would be buffed by the illusionist and troubadour. Enchanter has CC capabilities which could also come in handy, with Guard and Temp highly capable tanks and healers respectively. Like I said though, we're new to EQ2 so this is based off research as opposed to actual experience. I'd like some feedback from experienced players on how well this would work for one group content and levelling up as a group efficiently.

looks like a good combo to me with that combo everything (aside from raid content) should be not too difficult.

I'd replace the Templar with an Inquisitor or Fury even. But really.. it shouldn't make that much difference. Whatever you find fun to play should be enough to go by.

If you are just leveling up then go for the best DPS setup you can get

Berserker -- >betray to guard at 80 if you gonna start raiding
Inquisitor --->Betray to Templar at 80 if you gonna start raiding
Illusionist
Dirge ----> Betray to troub later if you like
Warlock -----> Betray to Wizard at 80
Swashy

This setup will maximise group DPS and maintain really great dps and survivability on the MT. You can max pull huge large amounts of mob and AE the crap out of em.

hmm.

Guardian defiler fury brigand warlock dirge. Good for even the even the hardest heroic content. great crowd control + multiple fears and teleport deaggros. massive healing power with defiler with fury for aoe healing and picking up spike dmg. Large single target damage with option to aoe shit down. great debuffs all around and variety of offense/defense options with the dirge buff twisting and fury that can go dps when heals aren't needed!

and roll on pvp! You know you want too and with a regualr six man group like this you will be loving it!

I agree. I'd work a brigand / swashie into the mix. I'd also go with two healers, one druid and one shaman. You don't have to go with a guardian either for grouped content. Consider switching to a Zerker or maybe SK if you are gonna stick with the caster theme.

a one healer group isn't the best idea tbh. In my setup if one person drops the group is still viable for pretty much anything as it is unless you need some heavy tanking that the brig cant handle.

and a warlock is for the win with the amount of procs on items in rok. Propagation is fucking sick!
