Outside of the raiders, what makes you continue to play the game?
Be it while you are bored, or have a constant number of people who are always willing to play with you.

I am considering coming back to the game with some of my friends and would like to know everyones input on this.

Putting raiding aside I just like exploring new places in game, going back on lower level alts helping new players thru places like wailing caves, fallen gate stormhold RoV etc. It is just a fun place to chill out and meet all kinds of people (some good some bad)

Not a serious raider. I raid on weekends with an alliance of guilds. What makes me play? Friendships. The fact that, every once in a while, you have a moment when the sun is rising, the quality of lighting changes and you realize just how beautiful the graphics are, forcing a 'whoa...' to come out.

The BF SKinner designed drop rates... the lore, nostalgia, watching other groups get wiped out, Illu's running commentary on bot farmer deaths...

Friendships online that have led to offline friendships, exploring, raiding on that rare occasion that I can nowadays....and I must say overall that I love this expansion! Being an EQ1 junkie, it brings back soooo many memories!

New things old things.. they all keep me playing. Though with RoK lots of friends have come back so that's made it even better. So friendships are good too.

Friendships I think is a big reason...I love hunting shiney's..love questing....love crafting, and I'm hopelessly addicted /sigh
Never ending list of stuff to do in the game ...places to see, stuff to do, people to talk and group with...good drama to be had..
