Umm, I
want to play, which is the reason I made my post.
That seems like the initial reaction by people whenever others make suggestions to improve the game.
Epics are not in the game right now, should I not be upset about that?
Trade skilling can be drastically improved to actually make it a fun side thing to do. Wouldn't it be cool if we could actually put our own stamp on products we make? Like we as crafters can choose to make boots with stats we decide (within a certain threshold of course). Wouldn't it be cool if we could add gear to improve a trade skill (like have tailor skill 415/415) and be able to put an extra point or two into a pair of boots that a tailor with only 390/390 skill can make?
SWG, for all it's faults actually has a pretty decent trade skilling system and has for awhile. I loved being able to make better weapons than someone else because I went out and did the work of gathering top notch resources, or got a rare 'add-on' component I could use. I don't see why EQ2's system has to be so bland and boring.
Sure, I could easily just go quit and go to another game. I'm not happy so leave, blah blah, but don't you guys realize the more people leave, the less effort they actually put into the game? Does that fact get lost on people?
It took a year to make this expansion, yet nothing drastic was implemented, so it's not like they didn't have time to at least add the features that were promised on expansion. It's like they ran as much as they possibly could through random name/stat generators and randomly placed them on mobs. They didn't even have enough time to properly itemize mobs, or deal with tweaking the AAs or gear because there were 'too many classes to deal with'. I mean really, how big was their programming team for this expansion?
This game is getting pushed further and further on the back burner of SOE's portfolio, and all people can suggest when others vent is 'leave if you don't like it'. Good, maybe eventually the sub rate will drop in the 5 digits and sony will have their 5-7 man team pump out a sub-par expansion every 15 months or so. Sounds great!
